SEAL POINT SIAMESE CAT CLUB. February 20, 2010. Dr Bruce Bennett

I did enjoy this Show immensely, despite an airline that shall be nameless and which took till 7 hours after projected take off time to decide that its plane was unable to fly to Birmingham. I approached the Show eventually by a pincer movement via London; I am indebted to British Airways for their rescue. My thanks to Lilian and Yvonne and their Show team for the invitation, and to Richard Lord who stewarded for me; we had a very agreeable day and I trust that we can repeat the exercise in future.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION, MALE.

Imp GR CC to REED’S GR CH AMYDAY SUNSPANGLED. M. (32fn) 1yr 7mths.

A very well grown gentleman with a quite gorgeous head, a long, even wedge with the superb breath at the top between large ears flared in beautiful alignment. Eyes of excellent oriental shape and incline, bored and arrogant expression that induces goose bumps in the onlooker. Profile smoothly convex, chin slopes gently, irregular incisors meet. Body of excellent length and muscularity, legs to match, tail might be a smidge longer and has a tiny terminal naughtiness that weavers of oriental carpets would understand immediately. Coat lies close, perhaps marginally long, typical soft apricot points, good contrast to warm body that shows gentle becoming shading. Put me in a super contented mood for the day after the traumas of the journey.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION, FEMALE.

Imp GR CC to COOK’S JOHPAS SABINA PURDITA. F. (32c) 1yr 9mths.

Lady of dazzling appearance and very remarkable development. Excellent even strong wedge with very pleasing balancing breadth at the top between large ears flared in heart melting alignment, when we overcame her initial reserve. Beautiful almond eyes of very good incline and sufficient depth of blue. Proud profile, level chin and bite. Very long, strong body with limbs and tapered tail in keeping. Good coat texture, matching cream points perhaps marginally warm in the hall light, good contrast to the softly shaded body.

Res Imp Gr CC withheld. MORGAN’S GR CH ASTRALBLAESE ANDROMEDA. F. (24n) 5yrs 2mths.

Attractive lady with a medium wedge on which ears are spaced but could show a little more flare for preference; she was holding them a little high today. Eyes of oriental shape and incline, mid blue. Profile straight, chin lines up, incisors meet. Body a touch chunky in her mature years, good limbs, tail could be a tad longer to balance. Coat of fine close texture with pleasing, well matching caramel points contrasting with the gently shaded body. I have seen this lady looking better in the past but today there were a few minor niggles at this level. Condition and temperament excellent.

CREAM POINT SIAMESE KITTEN, FEMALE.

1. BoB. ELLAMS’ JAKURTZZI VON ESPER. F. (32c) 4mths 2wks.

Cheeky little lady with a balanced wedge on which ears of size are set well, showing nice flare, almond eyes, well inclined, held a touch open, good blue. Excellent straight profile, strong chin, level bite. Lithe body, matching limbs, whip tail. Very good coat, short and close, feels like silk. Points a soft cream with excellent contrast to the clear body.

TORTIE POINT SIAMESE NEUTER.

1. PC. BoB. GR CH & PR APPLEJACK BLUEFENIX. FN (32b2) 6yrs 0mths.

A great old friend, good to see her again. Wedge short, strong and even. Ears set well upon it, could be a little larger to balance for preference, lovely eyes for shape and set, good blue shade. Very good straight profile, good muzzle depth, excellent teeth all present and correct, incisors meet. Body now just a little matronly for elegance, but mustn’t throw stones with all that glass around. Points a deep blue shade well broken creams of various depths, typical soft body shading to match.

SEAL POINT SIAMESE NOVICE KITTEN.

1. GODFREY & TURNER’S PALMIRA DE-ZIRE. F. (24) 5mths 0wks.

Comely lass with a lengthy wedge showing a little pinch set off by ears of good size and flared in alignment. Shaped oriental eyes of good blue. Profile shows a little indent below the brow, chin strong, incisors level. Body well grown, with elegance, limbs and tail to match. Coat of good quality, points a dense dark seal with just the merest hint of warmth, excellent contrast to the strikingly pale body that shows just a touch of shading at present.

AOC NOVICE NEUTER.

1. SIMPSON’S FLUTTERBY TUK’S IN LUCKYLAND. FN (24b) 3yrs 0mths.

Lady of becoming type with an even triangular wedge on which ears of balancing size are flared in line, eyes of oriental shape and very acceptable blue. Profile shows an angle at the brow, planes straight above and below, strong chin, stumpy incisors meet. Firmly muscled slender body and limbs, matching tail. Points are a darkish chocolate, body shaded to match, contrast there on bib and thorax.

AOC JUNIOR NEUTER.

1. SMOUT’S PR KAMIK FIRECRACKA. MN. (32a) 1yr 7mths.

Elegant and fine gentleman with a long, even wedge head, sporting large ears becomingly flared and spaced, eyes shaped and inclined, clear blue. Very good straight profile, level chin and bite. Body shows elegant length and litheness, limbs and tail in proportion. Coat longish but lying close, good bright red points, warm white body shows a little shading.

2. GODDARD’S PR DEBIKAT MARMALADY. FN. (32 3) 1yr 1mth.

Substantial lady with a shorter, even wedge on which ears are quite well placed. Eyes oriental in shape, blue might be a little deeper but acceptable. Good profile, a strong gentle arch, deep chin, incisors level. Well developed sturdy body, limbs to match, tail needs a little length to balance. Darkish chocolate tabby points show rather faint bracelets and only just enough tail rings, soft body shading evident, sufficient contrast.
