NORMA FARNSWORTH SIAMESE CAT SOC. of the BRITISH EMPIRE/SEAL POINT SIAMESE C.C. 20th.FEBRUARY 2010

Another successful example of the ‘back to back’ show, the second to be held in conjunction with our friends, the Seal Point Cat Club. It was good to see Lilian Hughes and Joan Pounds looking fit and well after their respective illnesses, Mavis and Yvonne produced their usual wonderful lunch and last but by no means least, thanks and congratulations to Harry for his organisational skills and tying a hundred loose ends into one gigantic Gordian knot. Many thanks to my steward, Angela Pereira, who handled the exhibits with care and affection. Best of all there were some excellent cats to judge which, when all is said and done, is what it’s all about.

AC.SIAMESE/BALINESE MALE PREMIER:

GR.PR.SMOUT’S PR.KAMIK FIRECRACKA(32a) 18.7.08

An outstanding young neuter of exquisite type, Beautifully balanced head of good length with excellent width between large, widespread ears. Lovely profile, level bite and good chin. Excellent eye shape with oriental set and sapphire blue colour. Well defined neckline and graceful head carriage. Long elegant body, still with some maturing to come. Slender legs and long whip tail. Good red points and a clear warm white coat of excellent texture, a fraction long on the back today. Congratulations on becoming BIS Neuter.

RES.GR.PR.BENNETT’S CH.& PR.DAZZLING SWEETTALKING GUY(32/8) 21.2.07.

It was a very close contest between these two gentleman as both are particular favourites of mine. I have not seen this boy for some time and in the interim he has gained quite a bit of weight which obscures his type. Lovely balanced wedge with excellent width between large well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and dismissive expression. Long body of excellent muscle tone, slim legs and long, well ringed tail. Soft lilac based caramel points showing M on brow, thumb prints, single ribbons and leg bars and bracelets. Some shading on a coat of excellent length and texture.

AC.SIAMESE/BALINESE PREMIER FEMALE:

1.GR.PR.W/H GODDARD’S PR.DEBIKAT MARMALADY(32/3) 24.12.08

Slightly disappointing after the six good quality males in the previous class. Medium length head with good width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with good blue colour. Heavy body with slim legs and a well ringed tail which needs extra length and has a small kink at the end. Chocolate points showing clear tabby markings with thumb prints, M on brow and leg bars and bracelets. Short, close lying coat of warm ivory.

2.RES.GR.PR.W/H. DINSDALE’S GR.CH.& PR.APPLEJACK BLUEFENIX(32b2) 24.1.04

Mature lady of comfortable type. Short straight head with ears which need to be larger. .Straight profile and deep chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Heavy body, she obviously enjoys the good life, slim legs and whip tail. Well mingled points and heavily shaded coat of good length and texture.

APRICOT POINT ADULT MALE:

1.CC.BOB.REED’S GR.CH.AMYDAY SUNSPANGLED 18.7.08

Well grown, stylish male of exquisite type. Excellent top of head and large, well placed ears. Straight profile, some teeth gone but bite appears to be level, firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and glowering expression. Well defined neckline and regal head carriage. Long muscular body of stylish type with slender legs and long whip tail. Good apricot points colour and a clear coat which was short, smooth and close lying. Shown in top notch condition, super temperament and beautifully presented.

BALINESE ADULT FEMALE:

1.CC.W/H. ARCHER’S RIDESTAR TIGER LILY(61dt) 29.3.09

Looking rather immature on the day, possibly needing more time. Rather small head with fronded ears which she tended to hold high. Straight profile, pinch to muzzle, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of deep blue, delicate neckline and fine boned body with slender legs and good length, well plumed tail showing faint rings. Warm white coat of silky texture and good length, Good red points colour with M on brow, thumb prints and faint leg bars and bracelets,

RED POINT KITTEN MALE: 2nd.(1STW/H) SHELDON’S TIANLEX GLINTOFGOLD 29.8.09

I was sorry to withhold 1st. prize from this stylish kitten but at present he has a protruding sternum which is a withholding fault. Straight wedge with good top of head and large, well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Rather straight set eyes of oriental shape and deep blue colour. Long body of stylish type with slender legs and whip tail. Points a little pale at present and a warm white coat of excellent texture just slightly long.

RED POINT KITTEN FEMALE:

1.BOB.REED’S JOHPAS REDDY TOSTAR 6.8.09

Stylish kitten of excellent type. Balanced head with excellent width between large ears. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly deep set eyes of excellent shape and set with sapphire blue colour. Fragile neckline and firm body of very good type with slender legs and long whip tail. Bright red points and a clear coat of exquisite length and texture.

2.FAIRCLOUGH’S ZARAFA ALLOWEEN 2.8.09

A kitten of good type and quality let down by an uneven profile. Good top of head with large flared ears. Bump on nose, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour. Well defined neckline and long svelte body with dainty legs and long whip tail. Clear warm white coat which was short, smooth and close lying.

APRICOT KITTEN MALE:

1.BOB.ELLAM’S JAKURTZZI KOBEJITSU 2.10.09

Striking kitten of beautiful type. Excellent top of head and large, well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Elegant neckline and head carriage and a long, slightly lightweight, body of very good type. Dainty legs, small feet and long stringlike tail. Clear coat of excellent length and texture and points of pale apricot. Congratulations on becoming BIS male kitten at both shows.

TABBY POINT NEUTER MALE:

1.PC.BOB.ESTERFORD-HOWARD’S CH.& PR.MAPU MALACHITE(32/8) 18.6.07

Very poised and stylish with an outstanding temperament. Balanced head with straight lines to muzzle and excellent balancing width between large ears. Slight dip in profile, some teeth missing but bite appears to be level and good chin. Oriental eye shape, slightly straight set with deep blue colour and superior expression. Good head carriage and long body of stylish type with slender legs and well ringed tail. Tabby markings well defined and a slightly long coat of good texture.

2.JANIKI’S SHERMESE LIFE O’RILEY(321) 10.9.08

Fine boned young male of stylish type. Balancing width between large ears, straight profile, pinch to muzzle, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Elegant neckline and long, svelte body with slender legs and long well ringed whip tail. Tabby markings well defined showing thumb prints, M on brow , single ribbons and leg bars and bracelets. Some shading on a coat of excellent length and texture.
