*THE SEAL AND BLUE POINT BIRMAN CAT CLUB SHOW - 31.7.2010* Mrs Ann IvinsonI would like to thank Shirley Talboys and the Committee for my invitation to judge at their first Championship Show. I had a lovely day. A special thank you to Ron Pike and his helpers for an excellent lunch. I was lucky to have Corinne Ash as my expert Steward. Thank you very much Corinne. *BLUE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE, AGE 14/7 TO 6 MONTHS.*1. BOB. HARRIS'S MENTOBE DR. WATSON. 13c2. M. 19.4.10.A very alert and confident young Blue Point lad of just over 3 months showing very good Birman type. Good underlying bone structure to his young head, with nicely rounded head top; medium size ears fitting well into head shape; cheeks developing well and tapering to a strong muzzle line; firm chin, level bite, medium size nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of a good shade of blue, deepening from the centre, giving him an alert eye-catching expression. Balanced long body of very good weight and substance for his age; medium length thickset legs, short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Lovely long and silky soft coat of a cool toned white, some guard hairs were visible; the coat was well prepared; ruff developing; curls on abdomen; points of a gentle shade of blue-grey on ears; a baby shaped diamond mask developing well, spreading from his nose across his cheeks; a paler shade of blue grey to his legs, deeper on his bushy tail; white gloves, colour a little low; both feet slightly scolloped; white socks; gauntlets a little short, rounded to below the hock. A very good sized lad for his age who was shown in very good condition. He has a delightful and friendly personality. Congratulations to his breeder and owner as he was the best overall Seal/Blue kitten. *BLUE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN FEAMLE, AGE 14/7 TO 6 MONTHS.*1. * *SEMOS'S PRIDNJOY BLOSSOM. 13c2. F. 17.4.10.A pretty feminine Blue Point lady of just over 3 months, showing good Birman type. Good underlying bone structure to her developing head, with gentle rounded head top; medium size ears with good space between; baby cheeks developing and tapering to muzzle; firm chin, level bite, medium length nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of a deep blue, paler at outer edges. Developing long body with good boning, just needing more substance; medium thickset legs, short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat, well prepared, long and silky; guard hairs visible on back; ruff still to develop fullness; curls on abdomen; a pleasant shade of blue-grey to her points on her ears; mask still developing from her nose across her cheeks; a paler shade to her legs and bushy tail; gloves white and even; socks white; gauntlets even and rounded to below the hock. A very promising friendly little girl who was shown in good condition and was easy to handle. *BLUE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE, 6 -- 9 MONTHS.*1. TOWNSEND'S TARKUSKA TOSCA. 13c2. MN. 14.12.09.A well grown Blue Point neutered lad of 7 months, showing good Birman type. Good underlying bone structure to his head which at the moment is a little out of balance to his larger body; nicely rounded head top with his medium size ears fitting well into his head shape; cheeks developing and tapering to a good muzzle; firm chin, level bite, medium size nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of two-toned blue, being deeper at the centre and paler at the outer edges. Good size and weighty long body; medium thickset legs, short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat a cool toned off-white, long -- the texture of his coat lacked show preparation and appeared woolly on the sides of the body and lying a little flat at the base of his spine; ruff developing; curls on abdomen; blue-grey to points on ears; mask developing with a slight ghost 'M' on forehead; legs and bushy tail a paler shade of blue-grey; white gloves, with left glove slightly scolloped with colour dipping on his outer toe; right glove scolloped; good sized gauntlets rounded to below the hock. A friendly lad who was easy to handle. *AV MAIDEN ADULT.*1. GRIFFITHS'S MUSCAR JENICOL MARISSA. 13c2. F. 20.9.09.This Blue Point girl of 10 months was not in the best of moods so she was quite difficult to handle. She showed good Birman type. Good boning to head with rounded head top; medium sized ears with good space between; cheeks maturing to muzzle; firm chin, bite was difficult to assess but it appeared to be level; almost round eyes of a good shape of blue giving her a pretty expression. Long body of good weight; medium size thickset legs, short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Long silky coat of cool toned off-white; full ruff; curls on abdomen; points of blue-grey to ears; mask developing well from her nose across her cheeks; colour on legs paler and quite faded on her bushy tail; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets rounded to below the hock. As it was rather hot in the hall I feel this might have affected her mood! She was shown in good condition. 2. NUTLEY'S TISANTI TALUTAH OFSIOLU. 13c5. F. 6.3.08.A Red Points girl of over 2yr. She shows underlying good Birman type, but her general appearance today detracted from this. Good underlying bone structure to head with nicely rounded head top; medium size ears; cheeks lacking fullness and tapering to a slightly narrow muzzle line; level bite; medium size nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of a good shade of blue. Body long and needing more weight and substance -- I believe it is not that long ago that she had a litter of kittens. Thickset medium length legs, with short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat rather sparse, long and silky, of a pale cream, with some red shading on back; coat was well prepared; ruff needing fullness; a few curls on abdomen; points of rich orange-red to ears; diamond shaped mask, spreading from nose across cheeks; paler shade to legs, with a richer shade to tail; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets even and rounded to below the hock. I feel that this girl has lots of potential; she needs a little more time to regain her condition. *AV VISITORS ADULT.*1. ALLEN'S TISANTI BLUE-BELLE. 13c12. F. 24.9.09.An attractive 10 month old Blue Tabby Point lady showing good Birman type. Good weight and substance to her developing long body; medium thickset legs, strong short paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat of cool-toned white, long, full, and silky which was beautifully prepared; some shading on shoulders; ruff developing well; curls on abdomen; points well defined, with distinctive blue tabby markings to an agouti background; thumbprints on ears; diamond shaped mask of a distinctive tabby pattern; blue-grey on nose spreading across her cheeks; clear 'M' on forehead; spectacles around the eyes; butterfly and spots on whisker pads; pale shade of blue grey to distinctive bands on legs; blue-grey bushy tail with several rings visible; white even gloves; white socks; gauntlets rounded to below the hock; with solid blue-grey above the gauntlets on her hind legs. A gentle girl who was beautifully prepared, and was easy to handle. 2. PORTSMOUTH'S CH. FUSHOULU POLO MINTI. 13c4. M. 25.7.06.Good sized Lilac Point lad of 4yr. lacking good Birman type. Well boned head with rounded head top; medium size ears; cheeks needing more breadth and tapering to a narrow muzzle; chin recedes; untidy bite, almost appearing overshot; long nose with slight dip in profile, which slightly distorts his head shape; almost round eyes of blue which are deep set in his head and appeared a little small; left eye wanders a little to the right. Long body of good weight; medium length slightly fine boned legs, with short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat long and silky, lacking fullness today of off-white magnolia; points of a darker shade of lilac -- it was difficult to see the pinkish hue; lilac shade to ears; developed mask; colour spreading across his cheeks; tail very faded; white gloves, and white socks rounded to below the hock. 3. Long body of good weight and substance; medium size thickset legs, short rounded paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat long and silky, of off-white magnolia with some shading of pale cream; coat appears 'sticky' as she was very hot; ruff to develop; sticky curls on abdomen; points of a darker shade of lilac mingled with a light and darker cream to a beige agouti background; points on ears mingled; mask developing from nose across her cheeks, with a darker shade of lilac on her nose; a darkish hot cream and lighter cream also spreading across her cheeks; all colours visible on legs and bushy tail; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets rounded to below the hock.
