Edinburgh and East of Scotland Show

       July 18th 2009

Show Report from Shar Crichton

Many thanks to Isobel, Denise and the club for the show invitation.
I enjoyed my day very much in the company of Andrew Lindsay who is a most knowledgeable and excellent steward and I thank him for his help on a busy day where I know he had other show duties.  We had a busy and jolly time lifting many large maine coon cats and kittens and developing our biceps! Many thanks Andrew. I had some lovely maine coon kittens in my open classes and am grateful to their owner/exhibitors for the chance to admire them.

Exotic SH Self Kitten

1 and BOB Campbell’s DEDANNAN CHASING RAINBOWS

A well grown eight month old black exotic boy that I met as a kitten and who has been developing well since then. He is a large cobby boy with a broad chest, thick neck and well rounded rump set on short thick well muscled legs which had fat rounded paws. Very pleasing head type which was round and with good width having very neat ears, set wide apart. Fat cheeks and a rounded forehead with a very short nose of even width that had a strong nose break, full black nose leather and good size nasal openings. The eyes were large and bold and still had muddy eye colour which promises to be a rich copper colour when fully developed. The chin was well developed and firm and balanced the upper part of the face well and the muzzle was broad with a scissor bite. The coat was of medium length, very dense and thick and felt very plush, standing out well from the body. It was a very sound black, sleek and shiny and in good condition. A thick short tail that was in balance with the body length completed the picture. A very friendly chap who was happy to be handled and who was well presented.

AOC Exotic SH Non Self Kitten

1 and BOB Hadfield’s SHEERBLISS POCAHONTAS

This red smoke and white kitten had very good type and was a good size for her tender age of four months. Body shape was already cobby, set low on short muscular legs that were thick and had large rounded paws. The head was broad, smooth and had a well rounded forehead. Small round tipped ears were placed far apart on the skull. She had fairly full cheeks and a very short snub nose that was white and had a good stop and a full pink nose leather. She also had a scissor bite, a firm white chin and a white muzzle that was developing well. Her eyes were fully round and large with super deep copper colour already developing and with a lovely bold expression and circled with paler spectacles. Her coat was of medium length and was dense and fairly plush with a soft texture and she had a white bib and underside with all four feet having white socks. The tipping on the coat was a mid shade of red and covered one third of the hair shaft. The undercoat was a pale silvery shade but she had very clear tabby markings on her face, a clear spine line down her back and faint stripes down her sides at present which are sometimes seen in kittens but hopefully will disappear as she matures to an adult.  The tail was short, balanced and fully coloured but also showing some tabby rings at present. Her coat development needs to be watched carefully as she grows to see if these tabby markings disappear as it is possible that she is a red silver tabby and white but only time will tell. However, on the day she was given the benefit of doubt as she is still such a young baby and has much development ahead and lots of time in her favour.

Brown or Blue Tabby (Inc Bi-Colour) Maine Coon Kitten Male

1 and BOB Gregson’s JULESCOON JOE COONZACKI

A very handsome brown tabby and white boy of eight months of age who I discovered I had met and admired before. He has excellent physique, being a very muscular boy with a large, solid well built body that was long and rectangular in shape. His chest was very broad and he had a fairly long neck and a very square rump. The legs were strong and well boned with large rounded paws that had short tufts. The head was of medium length and had tall ears of large size, sitting high on the head, pointed at the tips and had black ear tufts and paler short ear feathering covering a wide ear base. The nose was of uniform width and had a nasal bridge that was equidistant between the earline and nose tip and had a shallow curve when viewed in profile with a full pink nose leather edged with brown. He had a very square muzzle with a fat whisker pads showing tabby spotting. The cheeks were fairly full, the chin was firm and he had a level bite. Beautiful large round eyes with yellowish colour were set slightly obliquely and circled with black eye rims and clear pale spectacles. The tail was very long reaching easily to the shoulders and was well furnished and flowing with slight tapering towards the tip. The coat was glossy and of a good length over the body with shaggy breeches and tummy and he had a frontal ruff developing but the coat was shorter over the head and neck. The lower face and the nose had a white band across the nasal bridge. His bib and a patch on his underside were pure white and all four feet had white socks. I loved his tabby markings that were very distinct and were a dense black overlying a very rich copper agouti ground that was bright and glowing and showing excellent contrast between the black stripes and the rich undercoat. He had very good tabby markings on his head with a clear ‘M’ on the forehead, eye lines, pencilling and headlines. A very good butterfly was visible over the shoulders and he had excellent strong barring on his legs and three solid dense spine lines running down his back. A very promising boy not yet adult and who was my nomination for best in show semi longhair and I was delighted to learn that he went on to win best in show exhibit. Congratulations!

2 Wright’s POWERKATZ HERO

A six month old brown tabby and white boy who was a huge kitten, very heavy and solid, having a muscular body that had a long rectangular shape with a broad chest,  fairly long neck and squared off rump set on well boned legs with large rounded paws. His head was of medium length and had fairly full cheeks with a square muzzle and a firm chin with a level bite. His ears were tall and high set, wide at the base and fairly pointed with black tufts and paler short ear feathers. The nose had the correct profile having a slight curve at the nasal bridge and was of uniform width with a full pink nose leather and a very slight nose bump. The eyes were large and round, spaced well apart with yellowish green eye colour and set slightly oblique in the face. There was an inverted white chevron on the lower part of the face which gave him a white muzzle and chin.  The bib and underside of the body were also a clean white. The feet had white socks which continued to run high up onto the upper legs and had paws with short white tufts. Tabby markings were distinct and consisted of dense black lines over a warm copper agouti base. He had good markings on the head with an ‘M’ on his forehead, eye lines and headlines and three clear unbroken spine lines down his back. The coat had a glossy texture and was of medium length on his body, legs and breeches but was shorter on his head and neck where a frontal ruff was starting to develop. The tail was long and full, flowing and tapering slightly towards the tip. A gentle cat when handled and well shown.

3 Fletcher’s SUVICOON JEDEDIAH

A seven month old brown tabby kitten who was of a good size and weight for his age and who has still some developing to do. Medium length head had ears that were wide open at the base and were tall, pointed and set high on the head with very good long black tufts and paler ear feathers. The nose was of uniform width and had a shallow curve at the nasal bridge that was situated halfway between the earline and nose tip and which had a full pink nose leather edged with brown. Large eyes of almost round shape were set slightly oblique in the face and had yellowish eye colour outlined with black rims and paler spectacles. The muzzle was spotted and could have been more square for perfection and needs to fill out further. The cheeks were fairly full and he had a good bite and a firm chin. Body shape was rectangular and long, with good chest width and his trunk had a square shaped rump. The legs were strong, well muscled and had large round paws with short tufts. Good length of tail, well furnished and tapering which reached the shoulders, having tabby rings on its underside but was a solid black on the upper surface. The coat was glossy and was shorter on his head and neck but increased in length down his back and flanks. The breeches and tummy fur were shaggy. Strong tabby markings were present all over the body and were a dense black over a warm copper agouti ground. Head markings were all present with an ‘M’, headlines, eye lines and pencilling on the cheeks. An excellent clear butterfly was present on his shoulders as well as body stripes and barring on his limbs. A well mannered gentle cat who was happy to be handled.

Brown or Blue Tabby (Inc Bi-Colour) Maine Coon Kitten Female

1 Gregson’s JULESCOON KAPUAI

A brown tabby and white girl of eight months of age who is developing very well and is very promising. A large girl with good bone structure. She had a long rectangular shape with a medium length head and a fairly elegant neck and a square shaped rump. Sturdy well muscled legs had large rounded paws. She had an excellent square muzzle for a female and a good profile which had a shallow concave curve at the nasal bridge which was equidistant between the ear line and the nose tip, with a full pink nose leather. The chin was firm and she had fairly full cheeks with a good level bite. Her ears were large, tall with pointed and well tufted tips,  sitting high on the head and wide at the base with pale ear feathers extending beyond the outer ear edges. The eyes were oblique set and had a rounded shape, greenish yellow colour and were sited far apart in the face which had a pleasing expression. The tail was long and flowing and had faint tabby rings. The coat was long and full on the back and flanks and had a glossy top coat but was a little shorter over the head and neck regions with a frontal ruff starting to fill out. The tabby markings were very good and were a dense black over an agouti ground colour of rich copper. Head markings had a clear ‘M’ on her forehead, eye lines and lines running over the top of head. A very clear butterfly was visible on her shoulders and she had strong tabby lines on her body and excellent markings on her legs. The white areas were very clean on the muzzle, bib and underside of the body. All four feet had white socks with short tufted paws. A sweet natured girl who handled well and was well presented.

Delaney’s COONTIPS PRINCESS LOLA

A very pretty brown tabby girl who is almost now an adult with good type and who has lovely tabby markings. Her head is of medium length and has a correct profile with a nose that has the nasal bridge equidistant between the ear line and nose tip. The nose was of uniform width and had a shallow concave curve and a full pink nose leather edged with brown. She had an excellent square muzzle, with high cheek bones, fairly full cheeks and a firm chin with a level bite. The ears were tall and well set, wide open at the base, sitting high and with pointed tips that were very well tufted with long black tufts and shorter pale ear feathers. Lovely large rounded eyes with yellowish eye colour, rimmed with black, encircled with pale spectacles, spaced well apart and having a slightly oblique setting in the face with a delightful expression. She had a long rectangular body with a square rump, good chest width and a fairly long neck. The legs were well muscled and strong and had large rounded paws that had super well tufted paws. The coat was short over the head and neck but became longer over her back, flanks and tail. The breeches and tummy fur was shaggy with a frontal ruff still to develop. The top coat was glossy and she had very good tabby markings throughout of black over a warm copper agouti ground colour. The head had a strong ‘M’ on the forehead, cheek pencilling and head lines and a well spotted muzzle. There were numerous excellent clear necklaces and bracelets on the limbs. A perfect butterfly was evident on her shoulders and the body had strong spine lines and markings on her flanks. Her tail was long and had flowing fur which tapered gently towards the tip and was showing tabby rings on the underside but was solid black on the upper surface. A promising girl who should do well as an adult and who has a good show temperament.

3 Casey’s SPIRRITZ SANDPIPER

A brown tabby and white girl who was only five months old and at a disadvantage against the older girls in this class as she was still looking a little kittenish and had a lot more developing ahead of her. Nevertheless she had lots of good features which indicate that she is growing and developing along the right lines. Body was well grown for her age, being long and rectangular in shape with a fairly long neck and a square shaped rump on strong well boned legs that had rounded paws of large size and with short tufts. The head was of medium length had tall ears sited high on top, pointed and wide open at the base and with very long black ear tufts and paler ear feathering. She had a spotted and square muzzle which was good to see in a young female kitten and the nose had a shallow curved dip at the nasal bridge and was of uniform width with a good pink nose leather edged with brown. The cheeks were filling out and she had a firm chin and a level bite. Her eyes were full and round with yellowish eye colour and set slightly oblique and showing black rims and pale spectacles. The lower facial region was white and she had a white bib and fully white underside. The tail was of a good length, well furnished and had tabby rings on its underside but was solid on the upper surface tapering gently towards the tip. The coat was long and flowing on her body but shorter on her head and shoulders. A frontal ruff had still to develop and all four feet were white. Tabby markings were clearly evident on the head and body and she had clear head lines and eye lines. The back did not have clear tabby spine lines but was a little solid black but she had clear barring on her legs. A well behaved kitten who was happy to be handled.

Maine Coon Silver Tabby Series Kitten

1 and BOB Wright’s POWERKATZ EVOLUTION

A six month old silver tabby and white kitten who was very large and well grown for his age having a solid build and heavy weight. The body was very long and rectangular with a squared off rump, good width of chest and a fairly long neck set on four strong legs that had large well tufted paws. Head shape was of medium length which had ears that could have been taller and were a little more rounded rather than pointed, open at the base and had silvery ear tufts and paler ear feathers extending beyond the outer ear edge. The eyes had greenish yellow eye colour and were full and round in shape and set slightly oblique in the face and with pale tabby spectacles. Fairly full cheeks with high cheek bones. The profile had a nose of uniform width which had a shallow curved dip at the nasal bridge and with a deep pink nose leather edged with black. The chin was firm and he had a very well developed square muzzle that had good tabby spotting on the whisker pads and the bite was level. The lower part of his face was white and the bib, chest and tummy were also white and had shaggy fur. The tabby markings were black over a silver agouti ground colour and wee very distinct on the head where there was a clear ‘M’ on his forehead, eye lines and lines running over the top of his head.. The back had three unbroken spine lines and there was a well defined butterfly over the shoulders and clear oysters on his flanks. The legs had good barring with many bracelets and all four feet had white socks. The tail was very long reaching well to the shoulders and was full and flowing showing tabby rings and tapering slightly towards the tip. His coat was long and flowing with shaggy breeches and with a frontal ruff developing. A friendly chap who handled well and who was in good condition.

AOC Maine Coon Kitten Male

1 Casey’s NITERAP COONCITYUNITEFORCE

A cream smoke and white boy of four months of age, just a kitten who had a firm body that had proportionate good body length and rectangular shape with a square shaped rump supported on strong legs with well rounded large paws. The head was in proportion to the body and was of medium length with tall ears sited on top that were pointed and open at the base and had short ear tufts and pale ear feathers. The eyes were round and had yellow green eye colour set slightly oblique in the face. His nose had uniform width and the correct shallow curve at the nasal bridge. It was cream coloured with a full pink nose leather. The chin was white and firm and he had a good square muzzle and a level bite. His forehead had a white patch and the top of head was cream. He had a long well furnished tail which had a hint of tabby rings and there were some tabby markings on the head which is not unusual in cream and red kittens of this age but which hopefully will lessen as he matures. The coat was of a good length on his back and flanks and was shorter on the head and neck. A frontal ruff had yet to develop. The bib, underside and legs were white while the back was white in parts with some cream patches. The cream patches had a silvery white undercoat which was visible when he was taken to natural daylight at the window as the hall lights re not kind to cream and red shades and the tipping covered half of the hair shaft. His back however had a single red patch which was far too dark to be thought of as cream so that it is possible that he is not actually a cream smoke and white but possibly a red and it will be necessary to watch the development of his coat in future to make sure. On the day, he was given the benefit of doubt as he is still a very young kitten and has a lot of developing ahead of him.

2 Wright’s POWERKATZ DARTH VADER

A very sleek black and white boy who had a well grown body for a five month old kitten with good length of body which had a very rectangular shape and a square ended rump supported on strong legs which had well rounded paws. The head was of medium length and had a fully black face  with only just a tiny spot of white on the muzzle which could have been a little more square but which had very long white whiskers. The nose was of uniform width with a good profile line having the nasal bridge that was equidistant between the ear line and nose tip and with a shallow concave curve. The cheeks were needing to fill out a little more as he grows although he had high cheek bones and the chin was firm and the bite was level. Tall tufted ears were sitting high on the head and had an open base. The eyes had a slightly oblique setting in the face and were fairly round and had greenish yellow colour. The coat was very shiny and black and was fairly long over his back and flanks but shorter over his head and neck and a frontal ruff had yet to develop. The breeches and tummy fur were full and shaggy and the coat had a glossy topcoat. The tail had good length easily reaching the shoulders and was full and flowing and was totally black in colour. He had a white neck and there was a white stripe running down his underside. The two front legs had short white socks and the hind legs had longer white bootees.  A sweet cat who handled well.

3 Davie’s YAHESKA SMOKE ONTHEWATER

A dear three month old black smoke and white kitten who was at a disadvantage on the day due to his tender age competing against older kittens. He was a good size for his age and had the correct rectangular body shape with a square ended rump and strong legs with rounded paws.  Head shape was in proportion to the body size and was medium in length and  had tall open ears that were pointed, sitting high on the head and had good ear tufts. The muzzle was almost square and had long white whiskers that were broken, no doubt due to kitten antics! The cheeks were filling out and he had a firm chin and a level bite. The nose had a slight curve at the nasal bridge and was of uniform width with a full black nose leather. The eyes were round in shape and had greenish eye colour, set slightly oblique and with a sweet expression. The coat was a dense black and was shiny with a glossy top coat and was fairly full on the body and flanks. The undercoat was a silvery white and the contrast was clearly visible over the body and head. The tail was very long reaching easily to the shoulders and was flowing and tapered gently at the tip. The neck was white and he had a white patch between his legs and all four feet were white. A delightful baby who was happy to be handled.

AOC Maine Coon Kitten Female

1 and BOB Macrae’s CALEYCOON LITTLE POPPET

I loved this delightful tortie tabby and white girl who was eight months old. She had lovely head and body type with excellent physique in correct proportions. Body shape was very rectangular and long with a wide chest and fairly long elegant neck and a square rump with strong well muscled legs that had large rounded paws with short tufts. Head shape was of medium length and had well placed ears that were very tall and pointed, open at the base and sitting high on top. They had very long black ear tufts and shorter pale ear feathering extending beyond the edge of the ears. She had high cheek bones and fairly full cheeks with an excellent white square muzzle, fat whisker pads with lovely long whiskers. Her profile had the correct shallow curve at the nasal bridge and the nose was of uniform width and had a pink nose leather lightly edged with pigment. Her chin was firm and balanced the face and she had a level bite. Rounded eyes of large size had greenish yellow colour giving focus to the face and a lovely pleasing expression. They had a slightly oblique setting and were rimmed with black and circled with paler spectacles. Her tortie colouring and tabby markings were excellent and were dense black on a warm copper agouti base overlaid with light and rich shades of red and were clearly visible on the face, ears and body. There was a tortie necklace around her neck and all legs were well broken with tabby lines and tortie colours. Her coat was long and flowing on the body and shorter over the head and neck and a frontal ruff was developing well. Her tail was very long and full with flowing fur that tapered gently and was showing very good tabby rings. The bib and body underside were white and she had four clean white feet. A girl who was very promising who had an alert and lovely maine coon expression and who was very friendly and well presented.

2 Casey’s SPIRRITZ SCOTCH MIST

A seven month old tortie smoke and white girl who was not quite so large as her rival but had good body shape that was long and rectangular set on well muscled legs that had large rounded paws and who has more growing to do, no doubt. The head was of correct length and shape being medium long and had a very good square muzzle that was showing both red and black shades and she had very long whiskers. The cheeks had good width and the chin was firm with a level bite. Her ears were fairly tall and open at the base with black tufts and short lighter ear feathering but could have been sitting a little taller and higher on the head. Both ears were well patched with one being red and the other being black. The eyes were large and rounded in shape, set far apart with yellowish green colour and sitting slightly oblique in the face. Her nose was of uniform width and had a shallow curve at the nasal bridge and a pink nose leather. There was a cream blaze on her forehead and nose. Her bib was white and she had a white spot between her back legs and all four feet had white socks. The coat was fairly long and flowing on her trunk region but shorter on the face, neck and head and were showing tortie colours of black and shades of red but the silvery white contrasting undercoat  was not visible on the main part of the body and only seen on the paws which may possibly be due to the time of year for smokes. Some tabby markings were evident with the forehead showing a slight ‘M’ and the front legs having slight barring and hopefully these will lessen and fade as she grows. The tail was long and flowing and had faint tabby rings. A well presented girl who had a sweet nature.

A red tabby and white maine coon boy who was not yet two years old that I have met several times before. He is a well developed boy with good physique having a large well boned body that was well muscled with strong legs that had large paws. Body shape was rectangular and long with a square shaped rump and broad chest. Head shape was of medium length and had pointed ears that were wide at the base and could have been sitting taller on the head and having very long tufts and lighter ear feathers. Well shaped cobby body set low on strong legs with short rounded paws. Very broad top of head with neat well set ears. Large eyes of rounded shape with good orange eye colour but appearing a bit heavy browed at this time due to a lot of overhanging fur above the eyes which spoilt her appearance a little and was due to a lot of accumulated dead hair. Very short nose had a very small pink nose leather and small nostrils that I would have liked to be larger. The cheeks were full and chubby and she had a broad muzzle that was white and showing that she had a white moustache The strong chin balanced the upper part of the face well and she had a scissor bite. A very well presented exhibit who had a lovely temperament and who handled well.

AC Persian Debutante Kitten

1 Smith’s ZILVA ANGUS MCASKILL

A delightful three month old chinchilla baby who was only just old enough to be at a show. He had good type with a very broad head for a baby that was well rounded and had a smooth forehead. Tiny ears were sited far apart on the skull and had long silver  ear feathers. His eyes were large and fully round with a sweet expression and had blue green eye colour developing well when we managed to wake him up from his sleep. The nose was very short and had a strong stop and a small nose leather that was a deep pink rather than brick red and was outlined with black. Cheeks were a little pinched at present as I daresay he is starting to teeth but it is possible that he will have good cheek width later. The muzzle was still to fill out and he had a well balanced chin and a scissor bite. The coat was very full and long with a long frill and a short dinky tail that was well furnished and was silvery white with a pure white undercoat. The tipping of black was very light and even over the head and body and was only just a little heavier over the lower back and tail. The chin, bib and underside of the body were pure white and he had perfect black eye rims and unsmudged black paw pads. A sweet baby with a promising future.

AV SLH Self Kitten

1 Russell’s SUPATOFT MOLLYANNA

A very pretty fawn somali kitten of four months of age who should not have been entered in this self class and which was not noticed but who was judged as a non self exhibit at the time. She was a very lithe, well grown firm kitten of good size and solid build with a medium size body and an elegant neck having pleasing somali type. The legs were strong well muscled with good boning and had oval slightly tufted paws. The head was a moderate shaped wedge which had gently curving lines and a high forehead. She had good width between the ears which were tipped with fawn, broad at the base, fairly large and pricked but lacking ear tufts at present. Large eyes of almond shape had yellow green eye colour, set slightly oblique and were circled with fawn eye rims and surrounded by pale spectacles and showing pencilling and eye lines on the face. The profile had a slight dip at the nasal bridge with a pink nose leather and a firm chin with a muzzle that had a shallow indentation and was much paler in colour. Her coat was soft and fine and was lying flat along the back and was of a warm fawn over a mushroom undercoat and was showing good fawn ticking which had good contrast especially on the neck and shoulder regions. There was darker shading along the spine line and down the upper surface of the tail which was long and well furnished and tapering towards a fawn tip. She had no ruff or breeches as yet and these have plenty of time to develop later. Her chest, tummy, inside of legs and the underside of the tail were a pale mushroom colour and she had solid fawn on the underside of her paws. A good natured girl when handled.

Miller’s RAGARENE ROCKAFELLA

A seal pointed ragdoll of six months of age who had a lot of rude language when we wanted to handle him but we were able to take him out of his pen. He was a large kitten with a strong firm body which had good length, a short thick neck and a broad chest with a well rounded rump on medium height legs which had good boning and large round paws. The head was broad with a flat plane and had medium size round tipped ears which were set well apart and slightly tilted forward. The body had a silky coat that was short to medium in length with a ruff just starting to develop but lacking knickerbockers at present and was of a dark beige shade that was clear on his head and  lighter on the tummy and chest but showing some shadiness on his flanks. A promising kitten who now needs to be handled a lot more to ensure he is more relaxed and easy going at the shows so as to further his show career.

1 Smith’s GR PR WOOSY JIGGLI WIGGLI

A chunky solid and heavy blue persian boy that I have judged several times before who has good persian type and who is very cobby with a broad chest and well rounded rump set on short tree trunk legs. Strong head shape that was broad and had neat well feathered ears set far apart. Huge saucer shaped round eyes that had mid copper eye colour still very good for a cat that is over six years old and with a lovely expression. He had a short broad nose with a strong stop and a full blue nose leather with good nostrils. The chin was deep and balanced and he had a wide muzzle, fat chubby cheeks with a scissor bite. The coat was very full and of medium length but dense and like a lovely powder puff of a mid blue shade with an excellent full frill, lovely fluffy trousers and a short very bushy tail. The coat colour was very even throughout and was very well presented. A cat who was in excellent condition and is a credit to his owners.

2 Elliott’s PR STARSPANGLE GLITZY BOLAN

A very lovely chinchilla boy with super type that I meet at almost every Scottish show but who breaks my heart as he refuses to be handled and has some very rude and naughty things to say to me! All I can do is to describe him in his pen as he shows me his teeth and sounds out his growls. In some ways, I think it might be kinder to leave him at home from now on if he dislikes the shows so much. He is not yet two years old and is in his prime having excellent chinchilla type.  Head shape is very broad with small well placed ears that had lovely long silver ear feathers. Beautiful large round eyes with lovely aquamarine eye colour edged with black rims. The nose was short and had a shallow nose break with a deep pink nose leather edge with pigment.  The chin was deep and balanced and he had good facial width with full cheeks and a broad muzzle which had good whisker pads with long silvery whiskers. The chin, neck and underside appeared to be pure white while his head and back were very lightly tipped with black and was even and only slightly denser on the lower back and upper part of the tail. He had short rounded paws which had lovely silvery feathering. The coat was very long and full with a great frill, fluffy trousers and a very short fluffy tail.

Good square muzzle which was white and fairly full cheeks with high cheek bones. The chin was firm and he had a level bite. The ears were tall and were sitting high on the head and were open at the base with pointed tips that were tufted and feathered. Oblique set eyes of large size and round shape had greenish eye colour and were circled with pale spectacles and had a pleasing gentle expression. The tabby markings were very clear on the face which had a strong ‘M’ on his forehead and showing clear face and head lines. They were a dense black over a warm copper agouti colour. The bib was white and he had a very long white ruff and shirt front as well as a fully white underside. The tabby markings on his face had a sharply defined butterfly over the shoulders and good barring on his legs although the length of coat masked the density of markings on his body.
