SHROPSHIRE CAT CLUB 6 February 2010 Judge: Perri Hutchison

I would like to thank Janet, Jill & the Committee for the kind invitation to judge in Stafford, and for the friendly hospitality. I can’t thank my steward – Jan Hirst, enough for stepping in to help me at short notice. I had torn the ligaments in my knee the week before and was on crutches and a plaster cast. She carted the trolley, chair and me around the show hall, and looked after my paperwork, as well as handling the cats with care and love. I couldn’t have done it without you Jan. Thanks for your good company and fantastic help.

Brown Burmese Adult, Male

1st CC Withheld WARD’S COOMAKISTA BAZILLE 27 M (2.8.8)

Super natured sweet lad, purring his head off and totally loving a cuddle. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Eyes are set well apart, but are small in size, and are oriental in shape, chartreuse in colour. Flat brow. Poor nose break, nose rolls off at tip, and nose is long in profile. Firm chin, level bite. Muscular teenage body. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail has paintbrush tip, but is short to balance, stud tail present. coat is a little long. Even warm seal brown. Adolescent young man with the sweetest of temperaments. An absolute poppet. Well presented.

Brown Burmese Adult, Female

1 CC McCALL’S FAUNESE DOLLY MC TOTTY 27 F (22.4.9)

Just 9 months old and very mature looking for her age. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, super blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. flat brow. Excellent nose break. Straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular lithe girl of goo weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, just balances. Coat superb – short and close, and groomed to perfection with fabulous shine. Wriggler with 101 legs. Sweetie. Well presented. Ran close for BOB.

2 JOYCE’S JOWNORB SAMANTHA 27 F (2.11.8)

Young lass still slightly immature. Gently rounded top of head. Large ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge thought a little fine in the muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. flat brow. Good nose break. Nose rolls off at very tip. Receding chin, level bite. Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat slightly long but lies well, good texture and shine. Warm even seal brown. Grumbly girl. well presented.

BOB to GILES’ CH RAWEKE BROWN HOLLY 27 F (15.2.6)

Super mature girl with fab expression! Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and set, chartreuse in colour. rounded brow. Excellent nose break. Small bump on nose. Firm chin, level bite. Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, slightly short to balance. Coat is short and close, excellent sheen. Warm seal brown. Excellent sheen. Grumpy miss. Well presented.

Cream Burmese Adult Male

1 CC ROBINSON’S MOLYNMEUX GOLD DUST 27f M (23.12.8)

Very mature looking young man for his 13 months of age. Gently rounded top of head. Large ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge and nice blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, yellow in colour. Super squidgy jowls!! Rounded brow. Good nose break. Small bump on nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular cuddly fella. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat long and open, (but was cold in the hall), but has good texture. 2 broken necklaces, smudges on front inner legs only. Coat is a little dark and hot, but has good powdering on his head. Fab temperament. Soft dollop totally enjoying a cuddle. I understand this made him up to Champion today – many congratulations to his owners, and breeders!

Cream Burmese Adult, Female

What a little triller, purred and sung us a song! Very mature looking for her 9 months of age. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes set well apart, good shape and size, yellow in colour. flat brow. Good nose break. Straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat short and close ling, good texture and shine. Pale cream with good powdering on her extremities. Totally clear coated. Sweetie. Well presented. Thought her expression looked very similar to my BOB winner, and wondered if they were related, and the BOB winner was her mother! Ran her mother close for the BOB.

Mature lass with super expression. Gently rounded top of head. Large ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes set well apart, good shape and size, yellow in colour. rounded brow. Good nose break. Nose rolls of at very tip. Firm but shallow chin, level bite. Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, very short to balance. Coat slightly long but lies well, good texture. Nice even cream with good powdering on her extremities. Clear coated. Super purring temperament. Well presented.

Chocolate Burmese Neuter

Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat is short and close, superb texture and shine. Warm even chocolate. Well presented.

Sweet girl. Large wide based flared ears held high. Needs more width in between to balance her head. Good length well balanced wedge. Eyes are set well apart, but are round in shape, pale emerald green in colour. in profile she has a bump on her nose, firm chin, level bite. Elegant neck. Svelte muscular body of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail long and tapering, balances. Coat is long and open, and quite plush, but is sound to the roots. Well presented.

stylish lass. Strong top of head. Large wide based flared ears well set. Good length well balanced wedge. Oriental eyes set well apart, slanting towards her nose, vivid emerald green in colour. In profile, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Elegant neck. Long svelte body of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail long and tapering, balances. Coat is short and close lying, good texture and shine. Jet black and sound to the roots. Has a bald area between her back legs ? operation regrowth. Super girl. Well presented.

Stylish young lass. Strong top of head. Large wide based flared ears well set. Good length well balanced wedge. Oriental shaped eyes set well apart, slanting towards her nose, fabulous vivid emerald green in colour – you could swim in them! In profile, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Long elegant neck. Svelte body of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail long and tapering, balances. Coat short and close lying, excellent texture and shine. Warm cinnamon brown, sound to the roots. Very faint tabby markings on her legs and tail. Very elegant girl with super temperament. Well presented.

Oriental Shaded Kitten 2nd

1st & BOB Withheld PARKINSON’S SMAUG ESME 43hs F (11.6.9)

Stylish lass. Strong top of head. Large wide based flared ears well set. Medium length well balanced wedge. Oriental shaped eyes slanting towards her nose, but unfortunately they are yellow in colour, confirmed under the daylight lamp. In profile tiny bump on her nose, firm chin, level bite. Elegant neck. Long svelte body of good weight. Slim legs and oval paws. Tail long and tapering, balances. Coat is short and close, good texture and shine. Nice silver basecoat. Nice tortie mingling. Ringed legs and tail. Solid chocolate tail tip. Nice M on forehead and eye pencillings. Has spotted pattern on her body. Her silver basecoat extends 2/3rds up each hair shaft. Sweet little girl. well presented.

Oriental Longhair Kitten

1 & BOB FULLERTON’S STARAPPEAL EL CID 62 36 M (26.6.9)

Stylish chap. Strong top of head. Wide based flared ears well set. Good length well balanced wedge, muzzle pinch present. His eyes are a little round in shape, but are vivid emerald green in colour, slanting correctly towards his nose. In profile, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Elegant neck. Muscular body of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. His coat is medium long, fine and silky and lying flat to his body. Tail long and tapering, balances, super plume for his age. Good near white silver undercoat. Silver extends 2/3rds up each hair shaft. Ghost tabby markings evident. Purring fellow, very laid back and gentle. Sweetie. Well presented.

A V Asian Adult

1 BRADLEY’S NEMOREZ BORN BYMAGIC 72 43sq F (13 months)

Black silver burmilla with burmese colour restriction. Tiny little lass – very small for her age. Super type, fab head and expression! Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle, good depth to head. Expressive eyes are set well apart, top lid slanting towards her nose, rounder, fuller lower lid, yellow in colour. rounded brow. Excellent nose break. Straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Petite muscular body. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail has rounded tip but is short to balance. Coat is short and close. Evenly shaded with her mantle of colour paling to sides. Brown markings and good silver undercoat. Poppet with super temperament. Well presented.

A V Foreign Limit Neuter

1 EDMOND’S CHARNFIELD CHIQUI 33a 27x FN (15 months)

Nice top of head. Medium size ears, wide at the base, rounded tips, well covered with fine fur. Short broad wedge, high cheekbones. Oval shaped eyes, pale blue in colour. Brow curving back to flat brow, short nose, good stop. Firm chin, bite marginally undershot. Slender neck. Firm muscular body, slim legs and oval paws. Tail long and tapering, balances, well covered with fur. Coat is nicely waved. Dark seal points and mask. Sweet squeaker! Well presented.

Tail has good shape, but does not balance. Coat is short and close, good shine. Warm chestnut brown but is unsound. Few white hairs over shoulder. Well presented.
