SHROPSHIRE CAT CLUB SHOW – 6.2.10 Mrs Sally Tokens

I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation back to the Shropshire and I was pleased that this year I managed to get there with no injuries. My steward was Pat Tegg who worked well and made for an enjoyable day. Thank you Pat here is to the next time.

AC PERSIAN IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION MALE;

IMP GR CC; Rogers GR CH WESTHOLME X FACTOR

black exotic of nearly five and a half years old. What won it for him today was his coat, jet black in colour, sound to the roots and with an excellent length and texture, standing away from the body. Soft to touch with a nice gloss to the back. Short cobby body set low on the legs. Small ears just a tiny bit open at the base. Well rounded skull. Cheeks full and round. Eyes round and of a very good copper although he does not show them off to their best. Short broad nose with a good stop. Level bite. Tail nicely furnished and balances with the body.

 RES IMP GR PC; Ellis GR CH ROSJOY WHAT ASHOCK

 red tabby colourpoint boy of nearly five years old with an excellent strength of head. Very broad skull with nicely rounded cheeks. Dinky ears which are placed low on the side of the head. Short broad nose with a good break and nice size leather and nostrils. Level bite. Large round eyes of a medium blue colouring. Very strong bone and excellent substance. Body coat full and clear with a nice amount of undercoat and well prepared. Feint tabby markings to the legs and a well marked m to the forehead. Short full brush. Thumb prints can just be seen to the ears. Tail showing the odd ring. A tough decision between these two.

AC PERSIAN IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION FEMALE;

IMP GR CC; Barrett GR CH FINCHFIELD FASHIONISTA

silver tabby exotic not yet two years old. A lovely girl with a short cobby body and very good bone and substance. Well balanced type with well positioned ears and a nicely rounded skull. Cheeks full and round. Very good eye shape and lovely depth of copper colouring. Short broad nose with a good break. Level bite. Coat of a soft texture and having a good depth of undercoat. Very good length and texture, standing away from the body. Strong black markings on a silver agouti ground colour. Well marked m to the forehead and lines from the corner of the eyes across the cheeks. Spine line and a line running parallel either side. Numerous rings to a well covered tail.

RES IMP GR CC WITHHELD

2 Priestley GR CH SHIMBA NIGHTONTHETILES

black girl approaching four years old. A pretty female with a pleasing expression. Nice bone structure and adequate weight. Small well set ears. Skull nicely rounded. Cheeks of a good width and a short broad nose with a break. Acceptable bite. Unfortunately today the coat was not good enough to award the reserve imperial. Lacking in undercoat and of a jet black to the shoulders and the nape of the neck but the coat to the sides and flanks was very shady. Tail lightly furnished and balances with the body. A small amount of shading also to the ruff.

NORWEGIAN FOREST KITTEN MALE;

1 Hall CATLICKS BURLINGTON BERTIE

red and white lad of five months old. Well developed for his age. Standing taller on the back legs. Tail reaching to the shoulders and quite bushy. Reasonably triangular head shape not yet equilateral. Ears of a good size and fitting well into the line of the head with small tufts. Eyes a touch small and amber in colour which are slightly oblique in shape. Straight profile to the nose. Level bite. Reasonable chin. Head balance developing. Coarse texture to the flanks. Glossy top coat and some woolly undercoat developing.

2 Wareing NORGESKAUKATT OSKAR

white lad of seven months old. Having the Norwegian stance and good length to the body. Developing into a large and well built chap. Tail reaches t the neck and is rather bushy. Good triangular head shape coming along. Ears of a medium size with small tufts and lovely furnishings. Oval shaped eyes which are well placed. Long nose with a straight profile. Level bite. Just a tiny bit pinched in the muzzle today detracting from the overall balance. Chin fairly firm. Good head balance developing. Semi long hair coat with some gloss to the top coat and the undercoat not yet developed and still feeling quite soft at this present time. A tough decision between these two.

NORWEGIAN FOREST KITTEN FEMALE;

1 & BOB Grant VANAHEIM KEIKO

silver tabby and white girl of five months old. A beautiful girl who is very well balanced with a super length of body and very well built. Standing taller on the back legs. Tail very well covered and reaching the neck. Very good triangular head shape. Ears of a good size which are set high and open fitting well into the line of the head. Tiny tufts. Slightly oblique shape to the eyes which are of a good size and green in colour. Long nose with a straight profile. Level bite and a strong chin. Excellent head balance. Small shirt front and knickerbockers developing well. Super woolly undercoat present and coarseness can be felt to the flanks. A very pleasing expression and a promising youngster.

SEAL BIRMAN NEUTER;

1 PC & BOB Kemp PR SHANDATAL PRINCEOFHEARTS

nearly six years old and a strong lad with very good bone and substance. A very talkative lad. Medium size ears which are well placed. Cheeks full and muzzle well formed. Eyes almost round and showing a medium blue colouring. Slight dip in the profile and the bite having the top teeth concave with the smaller teeth just about meeting on the outsides. A small amount of shading to the body coat which was soft to touch and with some undercoat present. Front left marking reaches the stopper pad but does not go past. Gauntlets a touch narrow but even. Gloves well marked. Tail well furnished and reaching the shoulders.

BLUE POINT BIRMAN NEUTER MALE;

1 PC & BOB Osborn PR SNOWWITCH SUMMERSTORM

eighteen months old and a strapping lad with excellent bone and weight. Ears well positioned and medium in size. Good width to the cheeks and a well formed muzzle. Well shaped eyes of a very good blue which was sound. Medium length nose with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Clear body coat which was soft in texture and fairly full showing a very good undercoat. Gloves evenly marked. Socks nice and level. Gauntlets equal in length and breadth. Tail very well furnished and balances with the body. Full ruff to frame the face. A very nice lad.

 2 Conway UPRITY BARNABY

a year old and a very well formed and developed lad for his age. Strong bone and very good weight. Well positioned medium sized ears. Cheeks of a good width. Well formed muzzle. Eyes almost round and showing a medium blue colouring. Level bite. Some shading to the muzzle but all the points well matched in the depth of colour. Almost clear body coat which was soft and well prepared and having some undercoat present. Gloves symmetrically marked. Socks a touch high but even. Gauntlets broad and even in length. Tail lightly covered and reaching the shoulders. Another very nice lad who ran the winner close.

3 Smith BAYGAZER BLUE BAYOU

 ten months old and having a good strong bone and substance. Ears well set and of a medium size. Cheeks full and muzzle rounded. Some shading on the muzzle at the moment. Well shaped eyes of a very good blue. Medium length nose with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Front right foot marking the colour dips and it does look as if it goes between the toes otherwise the gloves are nicely matched. Socks level. Gauntlets broad and even in length. Body coat almost clear and soft in texture with a small amount of undercoat. Lightly furnished tail which reaches the shoulders.

AC SILVER SOMALI NEUTER MALE;

1 PC Stables CH & PR MERLIESIN ANGUS MACOG

sorrel silver lad of nearly three years old. Coat showing good cinnamon ticking. Nice moderate wedge with rounded contours. Fairly good strength to the muzzle. Slight nose break to the profile. Level bite. Ears large in size with tiny tufts. Expressive eyes with pencilling up to the forehead and out of the corner of the eyes, almond in shape and green in colour. Firm body which was quite muscular. Oval paws. Tail well furnished and reaching the shoulders. Chest and belly showing a silvery white with a good depth of cinnamon to the heels.

AC SILVER SOMALI NEUTER FEMALE;

1 PC & BOB Stables GR CH & PR AMORES OPHELIA FIZKIN

usual silver girl of nearly seven years old. A very nice girl who certainly in no way is looking her age. Super moderate wedge with nicely curving contours. Nose with a slight break and a good muzzle producing a smile. Level bite. Large ears which are set well apart with small tufts to the tips and well furnished. Almond shaped eyes of a green colour which are showing lighter spectacles. Medium build to the body which is firm and quite muscular. Long legs. Soft coat lying flat along the spine. A clear silver coat well ticked with black. Very good depth of black to the heels. Just a smidge of tarnishing to her back.

AOC MAINE COON NEUTER;

 PC WITHHELD 1 Turner MAJENCO GRUEZI SEQUOIA

red tabby approaching four and a half years old. Very strong well developed bone and I would have preferred a little more weight as he had quite a sleek body. Large ears which are placed quite high with a good width apart and small tufts. Cheeks a touch narrow with high set cheek bones. Eyes with a slightly oblique aperture and set and green in colour. Slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Level bite. Square muzzle present and quite a good breadth and depth to the chin. Soft texture to the top coat with a minimal amount of undercoat today. Tail very well covered but unfortunately feeling very greasy and clumpy today. Strong red markings with a well marked butterfly to the shoulders and oysters to the flanks. Good m to the forehead and lines from the corner of the eyes across the cheeks. I was sorry to withhold the certificate but today I did not feel he was in tip top condition and was let down by the grooming to the tail.

AC PERSIAN NON SELF MAIDEN ADULT;

1 Wyatt RISINGMOON HALF NELSON

 red tabby exotic of just nine months old and a very well developed lad with superb bone and weight. Very well balanced type and super eye colour to large open eyes. Excellent coat length and texture, standing away from the body. Soft and with very good tabby markings.

2 Leese CH & PR SHEERBLISS OHSO THEO
