Many thanks to Shelagh and Kit for and committee for very kind invitation to this relaxed Show; my steward was Sarah Ruse; her first stewarding engagement but you’d never have guessed – she handled the cats beautifully even the feisty ones and kept all the paperwork in order. Good company too, thanks for a lovely day Sarah!

RES GR PR DUNSTONE’S PR RAYSHEL GANDALF THE GREY (15c) 26.5.08

Large deep gold eyes well set, deep cobby body of good size and weight with solid legs and heavy feet; thick blunt tail. Short dense coat of most attractive pinky grey colour and virtually sound.

AC BRITISH OR MANX PREMIER, Female
GR PR COULTHURST’S PR SHADOWSMINE SILVER SHIMMER (18) 12.7.04

Striking girl with substantial head neat ears set into the line of the head, full cheeks and a short broad muzzle with a straight nose , firm chin and level bite. Lagre hazel eyes well set with plenty of width between. Thick neck leading to solid chunky body, deep chest and straight broad back; substantial legs and round heavy paws. Thick dense coat shedding a little today but still showing the typical classic pattern; well defined spine lines, clear butterfly across choulders and even oysters to the flanks . Lovely bright silver base colour for contrast.

CHOCOLATE ADULT

 1 (CC W/H) HOLLANDT’S CATBALU TEENAGE RAMPAGE (15b) M 25.5.04

Very impressive looking boy from outside the pen with lovely head being round and heavy with neat well set ears, plentyof width across the cheeks and a strong broad muzzle. Round expressive eyes of sound deep gold, thick neck leading to weighty square solid body; plenty of depth to the chest and a broad straight back, thick heavy legs and round paws; unfortunately very unsound, even for a chocolate such a shame because he has super type.

RED ADULT

1 (IC W/H) LOCKETT’S MIKAZEL PEPPERMINT PATTI (15d) F 25.4.09

What a little poppet – you could hear her purr across the room! Very young and it does show with a slightly small head in proportion to her body and a typical lanky adolescent body; the bone is there though so time should make a great difference. Short dense coat but a bit soft; I do have a weaknesss for the reds and try to be generous but I'm afraid the spotting was just too pronounced today; perhaps it will clear as she matures. But never mind – she has the most delightful temperament and is an absolute sweetie

BROWN/BLUE/CHOC/LILAC TABBY ADULT

Considered for BOB only

BOB MARSLAND-ROUND’S CH CATBALU CLASSICO (20b) M 29.7.06

Impressive substantial male of considerable size and weight with heavy well boned head, neat well set ears, width to the cheeks and a broad strong muzzle. Expressive gold eyes well set; thick neck leading to strong deep body, deep flanks, thick legs and rounded paws; thick blunt tail.  Large mature boy for his age with medium ears set ell into the line of the head. Well developed cheeks and a strong broad muzzle line, with a straight nose correct chin and level bite. Large bold eyes but sadly shOwing a green ring round the pupils. Thick neck leading to strong weighty body; deep chested and with a strong straight back, thick low legs and a blunt rounded tail. Coat short and dense, well padded with cool base colour and clear well defined classic patterning. Such a shame about the eye colour

RED/CREAM/TORTIE TABBY ADULT Male

 1 CC BOB HOARE’S VECTENSIAN RED ALEX (19) 8.7.07

Solid mature chap the medium ears set well apart; good full cheeks, plenty of width across the cheeks and a broad straight nose; firm chin and level bite.  RED/CREAM/TORTIE TABBY ADULT Female

1CC WEBB’S VECTENSIAN GOLDIKOVA (19) 12.5.09

Daughter to the male and showing his lovely rich colouring; very pretty young girl, just adult , with ears a tad large for my taste but well set; cheeks still filling out, short broad muzzle a shade square, level chin and correct bite. Large round deep gold eyes. Solid cobby body standung a little high on her legs as expected at this age but plenty of bone there and strong substantial legs and feet. Coat like dad's being shrt and dense, a fraction soft but beutiful rich pattern and warm base colour. A bit feisty today – dare I say typical redhead temper? But promising

A pretty open face with a straight nose, level chin and correct bite, large expressive green eyes well set and nicely mascara'd. Brick nose leather well outlined, adolescent body at the moment standing a little high on her legs and looking long in the bodybut of good weight and depth to the chest. Typy girl of good size and weight; tiny ears set into the line of the head; rounded top of head, very full across the cheeks and a very short nose. Strong brow which gives that british 'frown' and makes the eyes look a shade deep set, but very good colour. Short straight deep muzzle, firm chin and level bite. Deep square chunky body in excellent condition with deep chest, broad straight back, thick low legs and thick blunt tail. Coat is short dense and well padded; tabby/tortie markings present on legs but not a lot of patterning to the mask, body colour has darkend with age but acceptable contrast to the points.

2 FROST’S SOUTHSTAR TINKABELLE (40/12) 26.9.08

A rather immature looking girl very different in type to the winner. A much more open face and could use a little more breadth to the cheeks; large expressive clear blue eyes, good muzzle line with a slightly longer nose but broad and straight, depth to the chin and level bite. Solid adolescent body going through that lanky stage, but well boned legs and feet so she just needs a bit of time to mature.
