JOYCE GREEN - REPORT ON THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES SHOW 2010

A busy day with some lovely cats to judge. I am very grateful to my steward, Rachael Flint, for all her help and pleasant company. I look forward to our next meeting.

AC SELF PERSIAN CHAMPION: MALE ,

GR CH COOKE CH HERE I AM VAN IWANDA (IMP) 2a

Strong and muscular, his cobby body is set low on legs, large well tufted round paws, proportionate bushy tail. Super coat texture, long and soft and he is beautifully prepared, pure white throughout, lovely full frill over shoulders and between front legs. Strong round head has breadth to skull, neat ears are well furnished and well placed. Short broad nose has well formed leather, full muzzle, large round eyes are bold, one orange and the other light blue. A super boy.

RES EDIKER CH LAZANE CLASSIQUE 2a Another super boy who is cobby and muscular, short thick legs, large well tufted paws. Lovely well prepared coat is pure white, texture soft and fine, lovely frill around neck, nice bushy tail. Round head has good breadth between well placed ears, showing nice furnishings. Short broad nose with stop, leather well formed, strong chin, good muzzle. Deep orange eyes are full and round, nice bold expression.

Pretty girl, compact and well formed, cobby and muscular, well balanced by tail and limbs, large round paws. Soft plush coat is dense and the medium blue colour is very even, lightening just slightly towards roots. Broad round head, small ears set low and wide apart, full cheeks, short nose with well formed leather, strong chin, well developed muzzle. Large copper eyes are full and round and show lovely bold expression. She is a real sweetie.

Cobby and well muscled, short sturdy legs, large round well tufted paws, short bushy tail. Her coat is long and soft and the colour pale blue just fading slightly towards roots, generally she is well groomed and has nice frill across her shoulders. Broad round head, neat ears are well furnished and set low and well apart. Short nose with stop, leather well formed, fullness at muzzle. Large bold eyes are deep orange.

IMP GR PR STANTON IGR PR AZERPASHAN BOBBY DAZZLER 66a

Excellent type, strong and muscular and very well balanced. Lovely well prepared coat is fine and silky, super ruff, clear blue mask and other points on pale body colour. Broad head has flat plane between very good ears, well developed muzzle, strong chin, gentle dip to nose which is slightly retrousse at tip. Large well opened eyes are deep blue. A very imposing boy with such a lovely gentle nature. .

Another exhibit of excellent type and structure, well muscled and very weighty, substantial limbs, large round paws with long tufts, long furry tail. Lovely bright red coat has pattern well marked, glossy overcoat, very well groomed, lovely ruff and breeches. Medium head, square muzzle, very good profile line, large tall ears are well set and have nice furnishings. Eyes show very good shape and set. Difficult to choose between these two handsome lads and the order could easily be reversed.

Stylish girl of excellent type and very well balanced. Lovely coat is long and silky textured with full ruff around her neck, overall she is beautifully presented. Clear milk chocolate points are well defined on clear ivory which is without blemish, gloves and gauntlets are well matched. Broad rounded head, ears spaced well, full cheeks, well developed chin, very nice profile line. Lovely deep blue eyes. She has a lovely face and expression.

RES SEMOS UK GR CH & GR PR PRIDNJOY ARABESQUE 13c1

Another stylish girl looking wonderful for her age of ten years. Excellent type and structure and she is well balanced. Lovely long silky textured coat has full ruff around her neck, deep seal points well defined, showing golden hue across the body. Good markings to all feet. Broad rounded head, ears spaced well apart, medium nose with slight dip in profile, full cheeks, chin well developed. Almost round eyes are deep blue. A lovely mature girl who is very well presented. Ran winner close.

Sleek and muscular and feeling robust, strong limbs with large round paws, very good tail, all in proportion. Lovely coat, dense and luxurious texture, clearly marked pattern including rosettes and arrowheads on lovely bright rufous ground, lovely head markings and overall gold dusting. Well shaped head, ears are well set, broad nose with slightly puffed leather, pronounced pads, wide-set canines. Large expressive oval eyes give the typical ‘look’. Alert and friendly.

RES HEDGES GR CH KALUKIKATZ AMARILLO 76 30

Large extrovert friendly fellow who is strong and muscular, large round paws attached to robust limbs, very good tail balances. Lovely coat feels dense and luxurious, well defined pattern of rosetted spots and arrowheads on buff ground colour, showing gold dusting. Well shaped head, high cheekbones, broad muzzle, wide-set canines, large nose has slightly puffed leather. Ears of good shape are well set. Large oval eyes show very nice expression. A handsome exhibit. AV FOREIGN IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION: FEMALE A very nice class of stylish ladies.

IMP GR CH KEATES GR CH STICKYBICKY BLUE PEARL 33a16

Elegant girl who is very well balanced. Muscular body carried high on legs, neat paws, long tapering tail covered in wavy fur. Excellent short dense coat has lovely texture and plenty of waves and ripples throughout including her underparts. Head has short broad wedge, large ears set low and well apart, brow curves back to flat skull, well defined whisker break, firm chin, short nose has definite stop. Wide-set large oval eyes. Lovely girl looking really good today.

Another very nice Devon also well balanced, firm and muscular, standing high on legs, small paws, long tapering tail. Very well covered in short dense coat which waves and ripples throughout including her tail and underparts. Head has short broad wedge, large ears set low and well apart, brow curves back to flat skull, well defined whisker break, short nose has fair stop. Large oval eyes are well set and show lovely expression. A stylish exhibit.

TABBY OR TABBY & WHITE EXOTIC KITTEN: MALE

Cobby well muscled lad on sturdy legs and large round paws, short tail Lovely coat stands out from the body and is full of life, dense black markings on clear silver ground, just a slight suggestion of tarnish under his nose. The pattern is clearly defined, butterfly markings on shoulders and oysters on flanks, tail rings, leg bars, lovely head and facial markings. Round smooth head, small ears set low, well formed leather on short nose, strong chin. Large copper eyes are bold and expressive. A super kitten.

2 YUILLE & CAIRNS HADFIELDS EYESGOT THELOOK

Well grown boy whose cobby body feels solid and muscular, short strong legs, large round paws, short tail. Lovely coat is dense and soft and stands out from the body, rich cream markings on pale cream ground, mackerel pattern visible on both sides, well defined tail and leg rings, very nice head and facial markings. Broad round head, ears set wide apart and low, short nose, leather well formed, muzzle well developed, bite is slightly under. Large round copper eyes are bold and expressive. A good natured kitten.

3 RUSE DILARAZ MR BENTLEY

Dear little kitten with good substance and muscle for his age of 4 months. Sturdy legs, large paws are round, tail is in proportion. Soft coat is kittenish but still stands out from the body. Nice blue tabby hood covering his ears, two large tabby patches on his back and a coloured tail. His white parts are pristine except for a little slight staining on the chin. Round head, ears are set well apart and low, he has to grow into them. Short nose with leather well formed, good chin, still has baby teeth. Bold copper eyes. A real sweetie.

4 HANNINGTON & HARDIE NABOO HULA HOOP

Well grown kitten, cobby and well muscled, sturdy limbs, short tail. Dense coat stands out from body, very nice texture, tabby pattern well defined, white parts pristine. Well shaped head, lovely face and expression, large bold eyes, one eye looked a little sore. Sadly he was extremely cross and just hated being handled making it impossible to examine his bite, hence his placing. He looked so nice too.

Lovely well structured boy with a super coat of jet black, full ruff over his shoulders. Strong head, large bold copper eyes, lovely expression.

Two super girls:

1 PR DOREY PR NORACOON CHERRY BAKEWELL

Large well structured lass feeling solid and really weighty. Substantial legs with large well tufted paws. Lovely coat with ruff and breeches, bright tortie tabby colours, lovely long furry tail. Strong head, square muzzle, very good line in profile, strong chin. Large tall ears set high, showing tufts and very good furnishings. Well opened large expressive eyes. So gentle and relaxed, a lovely girl.

2 BUTLER NORVIN INDIANNA

Another very nice girl whose long body is firm and muscular, substantial legs, large round paws are well tufted, lovely long furry tail. Very nice coat has glossy topcoat, nice ruff and breeches, colour are bright and clear. Well shaped head, large tall ears which she holds well, showing tufts and streamers. Muzzle is square, strong chin, full round eyes are well set and she has a very nice expression.

Two very nice boys.

1 CC HEDLUND SPRINGMEADOW HOT PEPPER

Young boy of nine and a half months who is very well grown, feeling sleek and muscular, strong limbs, large rounded paws, his tail is in proportion. His coat is dense and feels luxurious and soft to touch, clear pattern on rich warm ground colour, showing overall gold dusting. Plenty of spots both arrowhead and rosettes, lovely head and face markings. Very nice head has rounded contours, ears well set but he is still growing into them. Broad nose , slightly puffed leather, rounded muzzle, nice line in profile, large oval eyes of clear green.

2 ALGER-STREET TYPHAST DYNOMITE

Well structured weighty boy, long body is well muscled, strong legs, large rounded paws, very good tail. Short dense coat is soft to touch, very good pattern throughout including plenty of spots, both arrowhead and rosettes, well defined head and facial markings, very nice colour to ground. Medium wedge has breadth, well defined profile, broad nose has slightly puffed leather, wide-set canines. Medium ears are well set. Large expressive eyes.

1 CC ALGER-STREET TYPHAST EXTRASPECIAL

Such a sweet girl of seven years old. Well balanced, sleek and muscular, firm legs, large round paws, her tail is in proportion. Her coat is short and feels soft and dense, very good pattern showing well formed spots which give good contrast with ground colour and showing overall glittered appearance. Well shaped head, ears are very well placed, slight concave curve in profile, full muzzle with good chin, pronounced whisker pads. Large oval eyes have very nice expression.

BOB GR CH TYPHAST HURRICANE Male LAPERM KITTEN: FEMALE 1

BOB NICHOLS AMORCATS LIZZIE DRIPPING

What a dear little girl, alert and lively. Body well muscled and high on legs, neat rounded paws. Very well covered in loose frizzy waves which are springy and stand out from the body, ‘bottle brush’ tail, curly whiskers. Well shaped head has modified slightly rounded wedge, top of head still shaping-up, whisker break and prominent whisker pads, firm chin, straight nose with gentle break. Slightly cupped and flared ears are well placed, tufted and well furnished. Moderately large well opened eyes show very nice expression.

KORAT NEUTER: MALE

1 PR BOB OZIMKOWSKI THEOAKS GEORGE

Very nice youngster of just ten months. Well muscled body has good substance, well proportioned tail, legs and paws. Short close lying coat is glossy and has very good even colour with definite silver tipping. Heart shaped head, large forehead, width between eyes, large flared ears are rounded at the tips, muzzle still shaping-up. Lovely green eyes are large and luminous and really prominent. A friendly boy.
