*THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES CAT SHOW - 30.1.2010* Mrs Ann Ivinson

I would like to thank Brenda Barrowman and the Committee for their invitation to judge once again at their well organised and friendly Show. I would also like to thank my Steward Sally Rainbow-Ockwell who did such a super job on a very busy day.

*AC BRITISH PREMIER MALE: *

1. GR. PC. WEEKS’S PR. RAPANUI MAXWELL. 17. MN. 28.2.05.

A shy mature lad of 4yr. showing good British type. Round head with good breadth and depth; neat ears with good space between; cheeks well developed to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of a good golden shade. Well developed cobby body of good weight and muscular tone; well boned short legs, with neat rounded paws; balanced tail. Coat short and dense of a pale cream being a little darker on the spine line; sound to roots. He was well presented and much happier and more relaxed in his pen.

2. RES.GR PC. TOLHURST’S CH. PR. VECTENSIAN SPORTY SAM. 19. MN. 6.5.04.

A well developed and balanced shy lad of nearly 5yr. showing good British type. Round head with good breadth and depth; neat ears; cheeks well rounded to muzzle; level bite, short broad nose, and firm chin; round eyes of a good copper shade. Large cobby body; broad chest; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short, dense, and firm; good red tabby pattern in contrast to a red ground colour; ‘M’ on forehead; butterfly, spine lines, oysters incomplete; well ringed tail. My reason for limiting him to the Reserve was owing to his incomplete oysters. Shown in good condition and handled very well.

*AC BRITISH PREMIER FEMALE:*

1. GR. PC. COULTHURST’S PR. SHADOWSMINE SILVER SHIMMER. 18. FN. 12.7.04.

A shy girl of over 5yr. showing good British type. Round head; neat ears; cheeks developed well to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of a hazel shade. A cobby body which is a little out of balance to her head size; broad chest; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short, dense, and firm; good contrast of black tabby markings to a silver ground colour which was slightly brindled in places; clear ‘M’ on forehead; butterfly, spine lines; almost complete oysters; rings on tail. A well presented lady shown in good condition.

*LILAC ADULT FEMALE: *

1. CC. & BOB. TAPPING’S TAPMACKS MRSMULFORD. 15c. F. 13.6.08.

A very pretty and well balanced girl for her one and a half years, showing good British type. Round head; neat ears with good space between; attractive round cheeks to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of a good copper shade giving her a very pretty and feminine expression. Balanced cobby body of good weight and muscular tone; broad chest; short well boned legs, rounded paws; tail a little out of balance to body size. Coat short and dense, a little on the soft side; a lovely pinkish hue to her lilac coat which was almost sound to roots. A gentle girl who handled well and was presented in good condition.

*WHITE ODD-EYED KITTEN: *

1. BOB withheld. HAYWARD-COX’S WILLOWWOOD DUMBLEDORE. 14b. M. 20.5.09.

An eight months old lad going through a typical development stage which detracted a little from his British type. At the moment his head is out of balance to his body size. Round top to head with ears standing very tall; cheeks needing a little more development to a pronounced square muzzle line; firm chin; level bite, short broad nose; round eyes, one very pale blue, the other a pale gold shade. Good size and weight to his cobby body; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat dense and firm, lying a little flat on the spine line; white in colour. Unfortunately his feet were stained as was his chin. My reason for withholding the BoB was owing to the evident staining.

*WHITE ORANGE-EYED KITTEN: *

1. BOB. HAYWARD-COX’S WILLOWWOOD GANDALF. 14a. M. 20.5.09.

A litter brother to the above. A well grown lad for his age of eight months, showing good British type. Round head; ears standing tall; cheeks nicely rounded to muzzle line; firm chin, level bite, short broad nose; round eyes of a good golden shade. Good sized weighty cobby body; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short, dense, and firm, a pure white. He was well prepared and easy to handle.

1. BOB. ZERILLO’S WILLOWWOOD CHARLIE MUGGINS. 31a. M. 17.5.09.

What a massive and friendly lad of nearly 9 months, showing very good British type. Round head already displaying good breadth and depth; neat ears; cheeks maturing well to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of a good golden shade. Large weighty cobby body; broad chest; short well boned legs, rounded paws; tail a little short to body size. Excellent short, dense, firm coat; white of one third on face, neck, legs, and abdomen; a white nose blaze; blue, sound to the roots on his back, head, and sides of body. He was a delight to handle – just what a gentle British boy should be! Shown in good condition.

2. WILLIS’S CRYSTALMIST AMBER-LACE. 31f. M. 17.7.09.

Still a quite lightweight to this young lady of six months needing more time to develop. She shows good British type. Round head; ears standing a little tall at the moment; cheeks developing well to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of a good golden shade. A light feminine cobby body; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. She was a sweet, gentle, girl and shown in good condition.

*TIPPED KITTEN: *

1. BOB withheld. KEELING’S ARDEEVAN DAIMH. 39. M. 28.7.09.

Still a small lad for his six months who was also going through a rangy stage which detracted from his British type. Round head; neat ears; cheeks developing to muzzle line; level bite, short, broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of pale green. Long body needing more time to develop; short well boned legs, rounded paws; balanced tail. Coat firm, short on sides of body, longer on spine; even black tipping to a silver undercoat. My reason for withholding the BoB was owing to his lack of development.
