JUDGES REPORT MS JANE E. ALLEN

Another wonderful show so well organised by Helen, Sean and Sue. My thanks for a really enjoyable time. Sandi Brown-Percival was my able assistant of the day and we had a great time together. Thanks Sandi for your attention to detail, the cats and I appreciated your gentle handling and good company. I shall look forward to our next date.

CHINCHILLA ADULT

1 CC BOB NEALES CH CUSHKA JUSTANILLUSION

Very nicely balanced boy with super expression Wide top of head with well held ears. Round skull with large, sea green eyes nicely outlined and pencilled. Short, broad nose with brick red leather and again well outlined. Wide cheeks. Acceptable bite and nice depth of chin to balance. Cobby, stocky body with nice body weight and short, fat legs. Short, full tail. His coat was so well groomed and generally evenly tipped. Very good to handle.

BI COLOURED ADULT

1 CC CARTERS DAYZEE BYMYGUEST 12A5

Immature male with quite a decent top of head developing, his ears still a little large and upright. Round eyes that were a good sound orange colour but he was not keen to open them completely. Short, broad nose, full cheeks nice bite and chin. Rather a rangy body and long tail which I hope will shorten as he matures. His coat was mainly white with some patches of quite rich red colouring. The texture was rather coarse and lacking undercoat.

Gorgeous expression and balance to this male, in full coat and looking very much the finished article.

IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER MALE

IMP GR PR TONKS GR PR ICEMOOR TORANDOT 70 31ft

Pleasing male neuter with super head type and balance. Wide spaced ears on a broad skull. Round, bold expressive eyes. Broad, short nose with wide cheeks. Decent balance to his lower face, good bite and chin. Cobby frame of excellent weight. Attractively marked with distince spots of darker cream on his paler cream patches. His coat texture was wonderful for the time of year, so dense and soft and yet outstanding from his body. So well shown.

I have given Headboy all the top awards over the many times that I have judged him and hard lines to come up against Torandot. A close run thing.

This mature lady was looking simply lovely on the day, her nicely balanced head and type complimenting such good contrasts in her coat. Very well shown and a real picture. Congratulations.

RES IMP GR PR ILLSLEY GR PR KITTYVILLE MAKUSHLA 70 22

Hard lines as this too is a very sweet exhibit. However, she for me lacks a little strength in her lower face to fully balance her expression and she had moulted so her coat was flatter lying than the desired exotic standard. Sweet to handle and I am sure with a few more months coat development she will make that final certificate!!

AC TURKISH VAN KITTEN

1 BOB JOHNSONS AKDAMAR TAZI 13d

oh I did debate long and hard over this kitten as his eye colour is really marginally odd eyed, the blue eye is very blue. However when taken to the daylight and even moving him around the colour is definitely still there and as he is such a delightful kitten in every other respect I gave him the benefit of the doubt. However I do wonder given another month or so that perhaps he will need to change the registration number. I shall watch his progress with great interest.

NORWEGIAN FOREST KITTEN MALE

blue silver tabby and white Very well grown impressive kitten. Triangular head shape with almost equilateral shape. Large ears well furnished and well set and high with nice width at the base and following the line of the head down to the chin. Nice muzzle developing with definite chin to balance. Long, almost straight profile with slight rise at the forehead. Elegant shape with the desired internal triangle from the eyes to nose leather. Large oval eyes that were well opened and slightly obliquely set, again following the lines of his head. Elegant neck and long, body and good length tail. Very good quality of boning, with his hind legs slightly longer than the fore. Very promising double coat developing with the desired slightly harsh top coat and super dense woolly undercoat. Just needing a little more attention to his tail which was already rather greasy.

2 THOMAS MOONKIST PRETTY NIFTY 67 19 9.1.09

Red tabby NFC Baby of the class but with considerable promise I felt!! Triangular head shape, at present a little longer in shape than width giving a more isosceles in shape at present. Large ears high set with some width between developing. Good width at their base. Expressive eyes that were slightly obliquely set and well opened. Almost straight profile with slightly rounded forehead. Chin already quite strong in balancing his head. His body was quite long, with an adequate length of tail. His coat was still in that baby stage but with very long distinct guard hairs and some promise of a thick, woolly undercoat developing. Very well shown and such a confident young man a real pleasure to judge and observe

Silver tabby This well grown kitten was really overall too narrow in head type. A very definite isosceles shape to his head with quite large ears set to the edge of his skull and of nice width at base. Large eyes that were a little on the round side, and not following the lines of his head. Wide almost parallel nose that was straight in profile but his lack of chin really spoilt the overall balance of his head type. Elegant neck and nice long, well build body. Excellent bone and substance with long limbs and furry tufts between his paws. Long, bushy tail. His coat was developing the glossy yet slightly harsh top coat and with considerable thick, woolly undercoat. Well shown and good to handle

NORWEGIAN FOREST KITTEN FEMALE

1 SCOTTS GLENDEKATT SKULD 67 31ts 9.10.08

Silver tabby and white. This female was the litter sister to Wiglaf and my comments on her are very similar to her brother. Well grown girl again lacking the desired width to her head on the day and with her, slightly small ears added to the facial imbalance. Rounded eyes that were a touch bold as well. Again lacking in chin to give balance to her face. Well filled long body with nice boning, perhaps not as large as her brother. Promising coat that was well shown and developing the desired double coat feature.

In amazing condition today and really looking the part. I would not like to see him get any more weight though!!

I was very upset to see this kitten shown in such a poor state of grooming, I did not feel I could award a second in this class. I hope she is left at home to grow a coat before venturing out on the show bench again.
