SURREY AND SUSSEX SHOW – 21ST MARCH, 2009
HOUSEHOLD PET CLASSES JUDGED BY MRS. MOLLIE HAWKE
GINGER OR GINGER AND WHITE SH MALE CAT
FIRST - POTTER’S DUKE– Big boy of very good weight. Spotlessly clean ears and white parts and feet sparklingly clean. Perfect white pearly teeth. Purred all the time we had him out and was really enjoying himself.
GINGER OR GINGER AND WHITE SH FEMALE CAT
FIRST - ALDRIDGE-SNELL’S FUDGE– About 60% white to 40% ginger with strong tabby markings to head. Seemed just a little nervous. Slightly sticky under tail, otherwise well presented.
CAT OVER THREE YEARS OLD
1st - POTTER’S BILLYBEAN- Huge LH black.Very heavy weight. Complaining just a little when we judged him. Beautiful clear green eyes. Impressively well groomed.
2nd – BILES’ BRUNO– Longhair black although entered as a semi-longhair. Very easy to handle. Lovely sheen to a well groomed coat. Clear green eyes.
CAT OR KITTEN NOT RESIDENT IN SURREY OR SUSSEX
1st – POTTER’S DUKE – REPEAT
2nd – MACOY’S SNOWDROP- Seemed not too happy at being handled by the time we reached her and she did take one swipe at me! White coat a little harsh. Clear hazel eyes. Feet could be cleaner.
FRIENDLIEST CAT OR KITTEN
1st - WHIPPS’ ISLA- Birman type kitten with darker shading to back . Clean white mittens to front, clean white gauntlets to rear. Deep blue eyes. Very friendly and a pleasure to handle.
2nd - HARE’S POLLY– Very placid, heavyweight black smoke with pure white undercoat. Handled beautifully. Upper teeth rather discoloured. British in type, but might benefit from losing a little weight.
3rd - SMITH’S PURRDY– Sweet white kitten with golden eyes. Very soft longhair coat well presented with large blue spot on head. Good weight and loved being handled.
Ex3rd – POTTER’S BILLYBEAN – Repeat
CAT OR KITTEN WITH MOST UNUSUAL COAT PATTERN
1st – EMERY’S MOUSE– Chocolate tipped shorthair with blue eyes. A little nervous. Tail ringed in black with some double rings.
2nd – WHIPPS’ CAPPUCCINO– Colourpoint with dark seal legs. Very young, sweet baby kitten. Very gentle.
3rd – STANBRIDGE’S SOLITAIRE– Blue spotted tabby and white. Very sweet baby, very gentle to handle.
