THE BLUE-POINTED SIAMESE CAT CLUB SHOW

1st August 2009

Show Report – Mary Kalal

A super single breed show, taking me back to my roots and original breed of Siamese Cats. I spent a very happy day with some lovely cats and kittens to judge in the good company of Irene Roos and I thank Stephanie, Paula and the Club for the kind invitation and excellent hospitality and Irene for her excellent handling and presentation of the cats. I had the great pleasure and privilege of judging overall Best in Show from six charming and beautiful finalists; my final choice was AMYDAY SUNSPANGLED a gorgeous apricot pointed young male bred by Jenny Jones and owned by Jackie Reed – Congratulations!

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND PREMIER, MALE:

1 and IGP to HAYWOOD GR CH & GR PR AERANGIS ZHIVAGO (24) 22.7.98.

A charming cat with a superb temperament looking great for his 11 years; long fine boned and elegant with a firm well muscled body, long fine legs and fine balanced tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, slight dip in profile, good chin and level bite and he has all his front teeth; oriental eyes slightly deep set, colour deep blue with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close, excellent shine and texture with dense seal points, some body shading but very good contrast; excellent condition and presentation.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND PREMIER, FEMALE:

1 and IGP to GODWIN CH & GR PR GENETTA BLUE HYACINTH (24a) 18.7.03.

A very pretty mature female with a long lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and fine balanced tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, medium length wedge head, slight dip in profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of vivid sapphire blue with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close with medium blue points colour and a clear cool toned body; excellent condition and beautifully presented – she later became Best Spayed Female – Congratulations.

BLUE POINT KITTEN (14 weeks – 6 months) MALE:

1 and BOB to PAYNE GENETTA DCI TAGGART (24a) 25.1.09.

A gorgeous little male with a wonderful expression; firm lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long fine tail to balance; large ears of excellent set and flare, medium length wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely deep sapphire blue with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close with soft blue points and a clear cool toned body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

BLUE POINT KITTEN (14 weeks – 6 months) FEMALE:

1 to GREENLAND MOONFLEET MACHERIE AMOUR (24a) 29.3.09.

A pretty little female with a firm body, dainty legs and paws and fine balanced tail; ears of very good size and excellent set, balanced wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of excellent deep blue. Coat slightly long at present but close, body colour still muddy but showing signs of clearing and soft medium blue points colour; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to MARTIN ABICASA THE MAGIC FLUTE (24a) 16.4.09.

A sweet natured baby well developed for age with a firm lithe body, dainty legs and paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced wedge head, almost straight profile, chin rounds off slightly, bite level. Coat short and close, points of dark slate blue, body clear and cool in tone; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

CHOCOLATE POINT KITTEN (14 weeks – 6 months) FEMALE:

1 and BOB to SHELDON SERAPIS MISSMARPLE (24b) 14.3.09.

A good natured and well developed young female with a long firm body, long fine legs and fine balanced tail; large ears well set and flared, medium length wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; eyes rather straight set and could be larger for perfection but excellent deep blue colour. Coat fine and silky with warm chocolate points and a clear ivory body colour, excellent condition and beautifully presented.

LILAC POINT ADULT MALE:

1 and CC to WHYTE GENETTA GLLENGARRY (24c) 16.7.07.

A shy young male who preferred to be under his blankets but did come out to be judged; firm lithe body, long fine legs with oval paws and fine tail to balance; large ears well set and flared, medium length wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely vivid colour and typical expression. Coat short and close, points of dark lilac, clear magnolia body colour; excellent condition and well presented.

2 to MORGAN CH ASTRALBLAESE PEGASUS (24c) 28.5.06.

A strong male with a charming temperament; well muscled body, fine legs with oval paws and fine tail that needs an extra inch or so for perfect balance; ears large but slightly high set, medium length wedge head with a muzzle pinch, straight profile, good chin and level bite; eyes rather full with an intermittent squint in his left eye, excellent vivid colour. Coat short and close, clear body, dark lilac points; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

LILAC POINT ADULT FEMALE:

1 CC and BOB to SINGLE SINOPE FERN (24c) 24.7.08.

A lovely young female with a firm lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely vivid colour with an excellent expression. Long elegant neck, coat short and close with soft pink-grey lilac points and a clear magnolia body colour; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

CARAMEL POINT ADULT FEMALE:

BOB to BAUGHAN I GR CH MAPU FORGETMENOT (24n) 10.4.07.

A beautiful female of lovely type and balance with a firm well muscled body, long fine legs and fine balanced tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely deep blue colour with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close with lilac based caramel points and a clear body; excellent condition and presentation.

AC DEBUTANTE:

1 to KINCAIDE MAFDET MOVIESTAR (32.1) 4.10.08.

A pretty little female just on 10 months of age with a firm lithe body, dainty legs and paws, tail fine, balanced and half ringed; large ears of excellent set and flare with good thumbprints, medium length even wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; eyes rather full but of good oriental set, medium blue colour. Long neck, coat short and close showing seal tabby markings on points, body has some slight shading in tone but very good contrast; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to WHYTE STROBER CRYSTINGLE SERAPIS (24) 25.12.07.

A rather shy female who preferred her pen; long firm body, fine legs and paws and balanced tail, large ears held slightly high until she relaxed, medium length wedge head with a small muzzle pinch, straight profile, good chin and level bite; expressive oriental eyes of quite deep blue, mask rather brindled particularly around her eyes at present, some body shading, points colour is a warm seal brown; well presented and good condition

AC BREEDERS (ex Blue Point) KITTENS:.

1 to STUDER MYLYNN MILKYBARKID (32c) 11.4.09.

A good natured little male, môn orchid at present, with a firm lithe body, dainty legs and paws, tail fine and balanced; large ears of excellent set and flare, medium length even wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of intense blue with an excellent expression. Long neck, coat slightly long at present but close with soft cream markings beginning to appear on his points and a clear warm toned body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to MARTIN ABICASA AMAZING GRACE (24) 26.2.09.

A very pretty female of good type and balance with a long firm body, long fine legs and very long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite, eyes rather full, vivid blue colour. Long neck, coat short and close with dense warm seal points and a clear beige body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

1 to GOULD MYLYNN MAISEE B (32a) 11.4.09.

A lovely young female with a firm lithe body, dainty legs and paws and very long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of intense blue with an excellent expression. Long elegant neck; coat slightly long but close, red colouring developing on the edge of her ears, her nose and tail, clear warm tone to body; excellent condition and beautifully presented she later went on to become Best in Show Kitten – congratulations!

2 to ELLIS MEILLAND MISTER FINLEY (24) 2.3.09.

A charming young male with a long firm muscular body, fine legs with oval paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of deep blue colour in the centre, lighting a little towards the rim, excellent expression. Long neck, dense seal points, body colour still slightly muddy but clearing; excellent condition and beautifully presented he later became Best Male Kitten – congratulations.

3 to STUDER BERNBECKS MASTERPIECE (24) 10.3.09.

AC MALE OR FEMALE NEUTER:

1 to HARRINGTON PR LOLUJA CASTINGASPELL (32.10) 8.9.07.

An elegant cat with a charming temperament; long firm body, long fine legs and long fine well ringed tail; large ears well set and flared, balanced wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of deep blue colour with an excellent expression. Long neck; Coat short and close showing apricot tabby points, body shaded in tone; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to WAREHAM FLUTTERBY YONGZHEN (32fn) 14.7.08.

A rather shy cat with a long well muscled body, legs and paws in proportion, tail fine balanced and well ringed; large ears well set and flared, medium length wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of deep blue colour. Coat short and close with apricot points and body shaded in tone; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

3 to ESTERFORD-HOWARD CH MAPU KOFI (32.1) 27.5.08.

AC SENIOR NEUTER:

A handsome cat with a long firm body, fine legs and oval paws and balanced well ringed tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely deep colour with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close with soft caramel tabby points and clear body, excellent condition and well presented.

2 to DINSDALE GR CH & PR APPLEJACK BLUEFENIX (32b2) 24.1.04.

A pretty female with a firm body, fine legs and paws and fine balanced tail; large ears well set and flared, medium length wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of dark blue colour with an excellent expression. Coat slightly long but close, dark blue patched with shades of cream on points and a harlequin marked chin, body shaded in tone; excellent condition and well presented.

JEAN GAMBLE MEMORIAL CLASS – AOC ADULT/KITTEN/NEUTER:

A beautiful female with a wonderful expression; firm lithe body, dainty legs and paws, fine balanced well ringed tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of beautiful deep blue with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close, seal tabby markings on points, body shaded in tone; excellent condition and presentation.

2 to MORGAN GR CH ASTRALBLAESE ANDROMEDA (24n) 21.11.04.

A pretty female with a long firm body, dainty legs and paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; eyes rather full, colour bright blue. Coat slightly long but close with caramel points and a cool tone to body; excellent condition and well presented.

3 to POUNDS PR JOMESE THE JOKER (32fn) 26.7.04.

NON-PEDIGREE NEUTER OVER 2 AND UNDER 7 YEARS:

1 to MILLER’S CHESTER MILLER (SH Tabby) 4yrs 3mths.

A handsome and charming cat with a large firm well muscled body, strong legs with large rounded paws and thick balanced well ringed tail. Lovely full rounded head with large cheeks and firm muzzle and chin; eyes large vivid green dark rimmed and with a charming expression. Coat dense and silky showing a clear black tabby pattern; excellent condition and beautifully presented, he later became BIS Non-Pedigree – congratulations!
