THE BLUE-POINTED SIAMESE CAT CLUB

Lovely Show, lovely weekend in Wendover. Many thanks to Steph, John and Paula for their invitation and to Helena Heywood who stepped in at the last moment to steward, and as before, proved an excellent colleague and companion.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION. MALE.

Imp GR CC. HARRINGTON’S Imp GR CH HELLFIRE CASTASPELL. M. (32 10) 5yrs 8mths.

A true gent of wonderful type in his mature years. Excellent long, even wedge head, huge breadth between large flaring years, giving a super topline, expressive eyes of almond shape and oriental incline, excellent deep blue. Straight profile, good masculine depth of muzzle, single incisor left, bite seems level. Great strength and length of body, balancing limbs and tail. Short close coat, clear body, soft apricot forehead pattern and leg bars, clear tail rings. I have not seen him for some time but he looks superb as always.

Imp GR CC. BAUGHAN’S GR CH MAPU FORGETMENOT. F. (24n) 2yrs 4mths.

Very elegant lady, very well balanced overall. Equilateral wedge, even lines to it, enhanced by large ears, open and set in line, eyes well shaped, a trifle open, excellent blue colour. Straight profile, chin slopes ever so gently, bite meets. Graceful neck, firm body, slender limbs, tail length to balance. Close, silken coat, excellent clear, unshaded off white body, merest hint of shading over hips now to match the typical grey/brown points.

2. RES Imp GR CC Withheld. MORGAN’S GR CH ASTRALBLAESE ANDROMEDA. F (24n) 4yrs 8mths

Girl of attractive type, even wedge, ears of size set quite well, though holding them up just a little today, eyes full till relaxed, when shape good, blue could be a little deeper for perfection. Arching profile, good muzzle depth, has almost all her incisors still, well done, and they meet. Well balanced body, limbs and tail. Typical points colour, all matching well, excellent unshaded off white body. Good coat texture. Pleasing lady, though not quite on top form today.

TABBY POINT KITTEN.

Handsome, well developed kitten of good type. Long, even wedge, broad at the top between very good large ears, flared becomingly, inclined oriental eyes of deep blue. Arrogant, profile, just convex, level chin and bite. Firm body of length, sternum rather prominent at present, matched limbs, good length whip tail. Coat condition good, etched forehead M, single eye lines, thumb prints, whisker spots, very good tail rings, leg bars all present and correct in soft seal, excellent body contrast.

BLUE POINT NEUTER,

1. PC. MACKENZIE-WOOD’S MERESCLIFF CEANOTHUS. MN. (24a) 4yrs 4mths.

Lad of maturity and with an attractive head type. Wedge even and equilateral, ears of balanced size, spaced and flared becomingly, good oriental shape to his blue eyes. Body big and strong, limbs to match, tail could do with a tad for balance. Coat short and smooth, paws silvery blue, other points a little on the dark side of ideal, contrast there to body that shows similar shading..

BoB. GODWIN’S CH & GR PR GENETTA BLUE HYACINTH. F. (24a) 11yrs 1wk.

Girl of good type with a medium long wedge, ears of good size, held just slightly up, surprised oriental eyes of good blue. Profile shows a little dent at the bridge, chin rounding off, good level bite. Well balanced mature body, limbs and tail. Excellent, matching mid blue points with good contrast to the cool body that shows commendably modest shading for a mature lady..

SEAL POINT NEUTER.

BoB. HAYWOOD’S GR CH & GR PR AERANGIS ZHIVAGO. MN. (24) 11yrs.

Very impressive senior, splendid for his age and background history. Long wedge, tiny pinch, ears of size flared nicely upon it, eye shape good, they disappear somewhat in the dense mask perhaps, attractive blue despite seniority. Profile now shows a slight angle at the brow, chin and bite level. Huge strong body, limbs and tail in keeping. Dense seal points, body now quite shaded, coat of lovely velvety texture.

TORTIE POINT NEUTER.

1. PC. BoB. DINSDALE’S GR CH & GR PR APPLEJACK BLUEFENIX. FN (32b2) 5yrs 6mths..

An old friend of good strong head type. Balanced mature medium length wedge, even and equilateral, ears well spaced and flared upon it, oriental eyes of good blue, and excellent oriental shape. Profile nearly straight, shin slopes back slightly, bite level. Body firm and very well nourished indeed, limbs and tail balance. Attractive matching blue points all well broken by shades of cream. Coat condition good, language slightly blue to match points.

CREAM POINT NEUTER.

1. PC. BoB. EMMENS PR JOHPAS JACKSPARROW. MN. (32c) 1yr 11mths.

Very well balanced boy with a excellent even wedge, broad at the top between large ears, flared becomingly, eyes excellent for shape and depth of blue. Profile straight, good muzzle for depth, chin lines up, excellent dentition, level bite. Huge strong body and limbs, tail might do with an extra inch to balance it all. Soft creamy points on ears and mask, tail a little warm, faint ghost tabby pattern discernible, good contrast to the body.

AC LIMIT ADULT.

1.SINGLE’S SINOPE FERN. F. (24c) 1yr 1wk.

Attractive, dainty lass of good type with a neat equilateral wedge, well balanced ears of size to enhance it, oriental eyes, just a little open, good blue tone. Slender body, matching limbs and tail. Close coat shows pleasing, matched soft lilac points with excellent contrast to the pale unshaded magnolia body. Shy nature

2. WHYTE’S GENETTA GLENGARRY. M. (24c) 2yrs 2wks.

Another self effacing person. Medium length wedge, even lines, ears set quite well, eyes shaped, blue might be deeper for preference. Profile shows a gentle dish, muzzle has depth, bite meets. Strong, lengthy body, had breakfasted very well. Smooth coat, points showing brownish tints to the lilac on the tail especially, body contrast there, soft shading evident.

3. MORGAN’S ASTRALBLAESE ATALANTA. F. (24b) 1yr 4mths.

AC MALE KITTEN.

1. ELLIS’S MEILLAND MISTER FINLAY. M. (24) 4mths 4wks.

Elegant fellow with a long even wedge, adorned by huge ears that he bonnets rather, needing to be more open for preference, good oriental shape to his eyes, clear mid blue, quite wonderful snooty expression. Excellent development to his long muscular body, appeared monorchid on the day, limbs and tail in proportion. Coat condition good, pleasing warm chocolaty seal points with good contrast to the body that shows some typical muddy shading at present. Adorable nature, rumbling purr.

AC NOVICE KITTEN.

1. STUDER’S MYLYNN MILKYBARKID. M. (32c) 3mths 3wks.

Loved this little lad, super wedge head, even and strong, huge space between large, widely flared ears, excellent oriental shape to his inclined eyes of deep blue. Convex arch to his profile, chin level, teething, bite meets. Slender little body, limbs and tail to match, appeared monorchid on the day but has time for developments. Kitten coat shows soft cream on the ears, colour just emerging elsewhere, excellent body contrast. Little indurated area posterior aspect of left thigh, seen by the duty vet and thought to be an old bite.

2. ELLIS’S MEILLAND MISTER FINLAY. M. (24) 4mths 4wks.

3. GOULD’S MYLYNN MAISEE. F. (32a) 3mths 3wks.

Another lovely kitten super, broad at the top wedge like her brother’s, ears of size, widely spaced and flared in line, oriental shape and set to her eyes of good blue. Arching profile, firm chin, level bite. Dainty body and limbs, tail to match. Fluffy kitten coat shows super, warm white body, sweet pink/red points.

Girl of very strong type, with a lovely even wedge head, broad at the top between large well set and flared ears, beautiful oriental shape and set to her eyes, blue good though would like them a little deeper for preference. Straight profile,level chin and bite. Very good strong body and limbs, balancing tail with a tiny terminal twizzle. Close coat shows very well broken seal points with good warmth to the reds, body showing some matched tortie shading. Lovely.

Handsome wedge, even and with length to it, super oriental shape and slant to the eyes of deep blue, large well flared ears. Very good profile, chin and bite OK. Large strong body, limbs and tai in keeping. Well defined seal tabby points, shady body.

1. HARRINGTON’S PR LOLUJA CASTINGASPELL. M. (32 10) 5yrs 8mths.

Great long lad, with a long, even wedge, well inclined blue eyes, huge ears set in line, very good straight profile, level chin and bite. Great strong lengthy body, limbs and tail in proportion. Bright tabby pattern, well defined on the soft apricot points, good body contrast.

2. GREENLAND’S MOONFLEET BILLET DOUX. MN. (32 5). 1yr 1mth.

Long wedge, ears of size, well flared, oriental eyes, a little open, good blue. Gentle superior arch to the profile, good chin and bite. Substantial body and limbs, tail length OK. Nice red tabby points, excellent warm white body.

x2 ESTERFORD HOWARD’S CH & PR MAPU MALACHITE. MN. (32 8) 2yrs 2mths.

Even wedge, very good ears for spacing and flare, oriental eyes, inclined and blue in tone. Good straight profile, chin lines up, terrible incisors but they are level. Long strong body, limbs and tail to match. Clear caramel tabby points well defined, excellent clear body to contrast.
