TURKISH VAN CAT CLUB SHOW 3 OCTOBER 2009 JUDGES REPORT MS JANE E. ALLEN

My sincere thanks to Kathy and the committee for the invitation to judge at the show this year.The collection of cats was lovely and the best in show pens were truly lovely. Congratulations to everyone concerned on a very happy and well run show.John Blore was my steward and I thank him so much for stepping in and helping out!! My sincere apologies for the delay in finalising my report and thanks to everyone for their understanding and patience.

TURKISH VAN KEDISI ADULT ASSESSMENT

Three very impressive exhibits.

Merits to

LLOYDS TANSDALE INDIGO MOON

Very mature exhibit with lovely broad wedge. Medium length nose with very slight dip in profile. Large ears well set and good general facial balance. Expressive large, oval eyes of lovely colour. Fantastic long very muscular body. Long substantial limbs with strong paws. fFull tail balancing his body. Excellent chalk white coat that was so well shown. I really to feel he is a very special example of the breed.

LOMBARDS ADSETLO BEYAZ ASLAN

In a very hormonal state today and did not make assessing him that easy. His head was as short as I would like with very medium length wedge. Good breadth to his cheeks. Quite large well set ears. Bearly perceptible dip in profile. Quite large, pale amber oval shape eyes. Body is long but could do with a little more condition but it was so obvious that he has found hormones in a big way at the moment! His coat was chalk white well shown just on the short side at present. I have to say that although he was in an active mood he was very compliant to assess even though the last place he wanted to be was on my table!!

LOMBARDS IZAMBARD BEYAX ELMAS

Very sweet young lady. Nice broad wedge, would not like it to be any shorter. Very slight dip to her nose. Large ears well held and set. Sound blue, oval eyes that were quite large and expressive. Good proportions to her body and tail. Long legs andn round paws. Lovely texture and length to her chalk white coat. Very well show and in very good condition.

MERIT TO RICHARDS VANSUNAMOON LILLY THE PINK 13wod

What a confident young baby!! Nice breadth to her head developing. Slight dip in profile. Large ears well set and furnished. Chin of good depth giving a nice overall balance. Expressive oval eyes both of a sound, promising colour. Promising frame, with long body nicely filled and with good tone. Long limbs and round paws. Lovely texture to her coat that was long and very well shown. In fact full marks for presentation of this very promising youngster!

Apart from the gorgous hp kitten this little girl was my take home of the day. She just epitomizes everything I am looking for in the breed, delightfully presented and delightful to behold. Congratulations to all she is lovely.

I also liked this little baby too but she was just not ready to compete with Hope today. Super head and type just needing her coat to grow further. So confident and obviously enjoying her day out!
