UNITED CHINCHILLA CAT ASSOCIATION SHOW – 13.2.10 Mrs Sally Tokens

I would like to thank Di Birtwistle and the team for asking me to judge at their show. The gift was very much appreciated. It was a super hall with very good lighting and plenty large enough for this small breed show. The lunch was super and thank you to all those concerned, you worked so hard.

GRAND CHAMPION FEMALE;

GR CC Rouse INT CH & CH STARDROPS YACINTA

chinchilla girl of three and a half years old. Lovely bone structure and very good weight. Dinky ears set low on the side of the head. Full cheeks. Skull well rounded. Large eyes of a very good emerald just slightly lighter in colour to the outer edges. Short broad nose with a brick red nose leather nicely outlined with black. Level bite. Coat long and full with a super undercoat and soft texture. Very well prepared and lightly tipped which was even all over. Short full brush. I understand this made her to grand today, well done.

RES GR CC; Danks CH TAMOSAH GEORGIE GIRL

black shaded cameo of eighteen months old. A nicely developed girl with very good bone structure and lovely weight. Well balanced type with small well set ears. Skull nicely rounded. Cheeks full and a short broad nose with a good stop. Level bite. Round eyes of a nice orange colouring. Ruff to frame the face. Coat long and quite full. Soft in texture and nicely groomed. Nicely tipped coat of a medium black. Tail balances with the body and is well furnished.

GRAND PREMIER MALE;

GR PC; Flint PR BARRKUDOS STAMPOFAPPROVAL

black smoke of nearly three years old. A strapping lad with excellent bone and very good substance. Short cobby body set low on the legs. Tiny ears which are well placed. Skull nicely rounded. Cheeks full and round. Large eyes of a very good copper. Short broad nose with a good break. Level bite. Jet black coat which when parted shows wonderful contrasts of an ash white. Short full brush.

RES GR PC; How PR CUSHKA SANTINO

chinchilla coming up to four years old. A very well grown lad with excellent bone and weight. Short compact body. Small ears which are well positioned. Cheeks full and round. Skull well rounded just looking a touch heavy on the brow today. Large open eyes of a nice emerald colour and outlined with black. Brick red nose leather also showing a good pencilling. Short broad nose. Level bite. Coat long and very full with a good depth of undercoat and nicely groomed. A little heavy on the tipping along the back but still even all over. Tail short and very well covered.

RED, CREAM, TORTIE SMOKE ADULT;

1 CC Wilkinson UK IMP GR CH SILVERDANCE AMADEUS

red smoke of five years old. A very nice lad whom I have had the pleasure of judging in the past. Wonderful strength of bone and very good substance. Ears well positioned just a touch open at the base today. Full cheeks. Rounded skull. Large bold eyes of a very good copper colour. Level bite. Short nose with a good break and nice size leather and nostrils. Coat fairly full with a small amount of undercoat and lighter colour at the roots to form the smoke pattern. Tail lightly covered and balances with the body which he tends to tense when examined.

DOMINANT CAMEO ADULT;

red shaded girl who is looking very good at nearly four years old. Good bone and nice weight. Very strong eye colour to well shaped eyes. Skull nicely rounded. Well positioned ears just a fraction open at the base. Short broad nose with a nice break. Level bite. Small ruff to frame the face. Very good red tipping to the coat which is even all over the body. Mask just slightly broken in colour. Small amount of undercoat and very well prepared, soft in texture. Good tail well covered.

a very sturdy lad of eight years old and looking in super condition for his age. Small well set ears which are well placed. Skull nicely formed. Eyes bold in shape and of a medium emerald colouring with a nice black surround. Cheeks of a very good width. Short nose with a nice break. Level bite. Small ruff to frame the face. Coat of a nice length and soft texture. Light and evenly tipped. Short full brush.

CHINCHILLA FEMALE NEUTER;

1 PC Hardy CH AVALANCHE PRECIOUSSILVA

nice bone structure and adequate weight. Coming up to eight years old. Round eyes with a nice outline and of a fairly good emerald considering her age. Short snub nose. Skull nicely rounded. Level bite with some teeth missing. Cheeks of a good width. Brick red leather outlined with a medium black. Very nicely tipped coat with was fairly full and a little heavier on tipping to the body. In need of a little more preparation to the under parts. Tail short and well furnished. Tufted feet.

1 Taylor LYNCHARD PANDORA

chinchilla of four years old and with lovely size and weight. Eye colour just a little two tone today. Soft texture to a fairly full coat which was well tipped. Well prepared. Ears just a touch open at the base. Otherwise nicely well balanced type.

2 Rouse STARDROPS FIRECRACKER

Golden of just over a year old. Excellent bone and weight with good type. Unfortunately the coat just looking a little tabby today rather than tipped. Eyes colour a touch pale but large well shaped eyes. Very good apricot colour developing to the undercoat. Well groomed. Short full tail.

AC BREEDERS MALE KITTEN;

1 Wilkinson DANMOSO WINNERTAKESITALL

red smoke baby of seven months old. Large deep copper eyes and full cheeks. Level bite. Coat long and full which had been well prepared and showing a lighter undercoat still coming through. Fully coloured mask and nicely balanced type. 2 Danks TAMOSAH HIGHLANDER chinchilla baby of four months old. Very minimal tipping to the coat just about evident. Brick red nose leather. Heavier tipping to the end of a short full brush. Very well prepared and a sweet baby.

1 Burton VILLIERS SILVER FLEURDELYS

chinchilla of five months old. Excellent bone and weight with strong emerald eye colour developing. Small ears and a rounded skull. Cheeks full and coat very full being light and evenly tipped with a nice depth of black. Very well prepared. Short full tail. Pleasing baby.

2 Merchant SOOPURRKITTS BLONDIE

cream shaded girl with excellent bone and weight. Short broad nose and a good stop. Level bite. Eyes large and of a very deep copper. Coat long and full just looking more like a smoke today, it will be interesting to see how the coat develops once she has had a change of coats.

AC LIMIT KITTEN;

pewter lad of eight months old and what a strapping lad. Huge feet very good bone and plenty of substance. Ears well set and very good type. Well shaped eyes. Very good undercoat to a long and full well prepared coat. Black tipping to the coat to form a mantle. A very impressive lad.

2 Hamilton AUREATE TUTTI FRUTTI

tortie smoke who has a very cobby body and super type. Unfortunately she has a very protruding sternum. Ears just a touch open and a short broad nose with a good break. Lovely coat colours and a white undercoat visible. Nicely balanced type.

blue pewter coming up to three years old. A very nice lad with excellent type. Very strong bone and plenty of substance. Short cobby body. Small well set ears and a short broad nose. Level bite. Eyes large and round and showing good colour. Very full coat and nicely groomed. Lovely depth of blue to the tipping to form a mantle.

AC NOVICE NEUTER;

1 Flint BARRKUDOS LOOKOFLOVEMEDO

Tortie smoke girl of nearly two years old. Skull just a touch bumpy with tiny well placed ears. Good width to the cheeks and nicely balanced type. Coat long and full with some contrasts visible. Very good red and black to the coat which had been well prepared. Tail short and full. A strong girl with excellent bone and weight.

NON PEDIGREE; NON PEDIGREE SELF SH;

1 Chitty DONALD

fourteen year old lad and not worried about the show at all, just taking it all in his stride and a real show off. White to the paws, chest and tummy with some white on his muzzle. Moulting quite a bit today but the coat still had a lovely texture and was of a good black with a small sheen. Large expressive green eyes.

PEDIGREE HP MASTER CLASS (GRAND);

1 Gillott MC MOJO

a very sturdy girl of two years old. Strong tortie pattern with excellent black and very good red. Coat fairly thick and dense with a silken texture and nice depth of undercoat. Predominately red to the back with varying shades of red. Orange eyes. Very alert and inquisitive. Good tail.

AC SH;

1 Lewis MC TIGGA

tabby lad of three years old with large expressive green eyes. Excellent temperament and a pleasure to handle. Very talkative, good m to the forehead and lines from the corner of the eyes across the cheeks. Necklaces visible. Large rounded paws. Lovely lad.
