WEST OF ENGLAND & SOUTH WALES CAT SOCIETY – 23 AUGUST – BRENDA PEARCE
I was called in unexpectedly, to help out at the show, and hope that the exhibitors were not too upset at having me instead of Celia Leighton, to whom I wish a speedy recovery. A big thank you to Barbara Gould who stepped in at the last minute to steward for me, and to the show managers for the warm welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed my day with Barbara who, as always, was super company.
Foreign White Adult Female.
CC & BOB, Maule’s CH TEMPANO ROSA DELALPINO. 30.4.07. A mature and attractive girl of good type and balance. Strong mid length wedge head with large wide based ears which she occasionally bonnets. Strong profile, chin rounds, bite level. Vivid blue eyes of very good oriental shape but rather deep set. Firm well muscled body with elegant legs and a good length whip tail. She had the most wonderful pure white close fitting coat - her condition superb, as was her presentation and temperament.

Short, sound and close lying pinkish grey coat of excellent texture. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
2 Haggar’s CH SUSPIRIA SIMPLY SOLARUS. (37r) 21.4.07. A strong masculine lad of very good type. Shorter broad wedge head with large wide based ears set well apart. Straight profile, the chin just rounds off slightly, bite marginally over but acceptable. Slightly full pale green eyes. Long hard and muscular body with long strong legs and a whip tail in balance. Warm fawn coat which was sound and even in tone although rather long and greasy in texture today. A sweet tempered gentle boy who was eagerly trilling to the girl next door!!

1 Hacking’s ALLIBEAR MINNIEMOUSE. (37k) F 25.3.06. A very dainty and fine boned queen who I felt looked small and immature for her age of 2 years 4 months. Long pinched wedge head requiring a touch more width to better balance the length. Ears of good size but held slightly high. Small dip to profile, firm chin, level bite. Pale green eyes of good oriental shape and set.. Long slender body and legs with a fine whip tail. Close lying warm cinnamon brown coat of good texture, but a little unsound at the moment. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
AC Oriental Breeders Kitten Male.
1 Lee’s WILLHAVETODO PINTSIZEPINTO. (48 40) 16.5.08. A well grown baby of very good type. Short strong and evenly balanced wedge head with large wide based and well set ears. Tiniest dip to profile as yet, firm chin, level bite. Dark blue oriental eyes with lovely expression. Long well muscled body with long legs and a fine whip tail. Points show warm seal colouring. White present on all four legs. There is a blaze of white on his face and white around his cheeks. He has a white bib and an unbroken narrow line of white extending along his tummy. His coat of good texture shows light fawn shading over his back and sides. I did have reservations as to the amount of white present, but in the end decided that it is just enough to conform to the standard at the moment. Lovely temperament and beautifully presented.

1 Stephens’s SHUNGSHU MONROMAGIC. (43ds) MN 14.3.07. A substantial youngster of very good type and balance, looking very stylish. Long strong wedge head with well set open based ears which, for me, could be just a tiny bit larger to better balance such a strong head. Straight profile with a firm chin and level bite. Pale green oriental eyes with lovely expression. Long hard and muscular body with long strong legs and a balancing whip tail. Coat of excellent texture, very short and close lying, his clear silver undercoat pushing the pale red shading well up the hair shaft and showing minimal tabby pattern on the surface. Lovely lad beautifully presented.
2 Clothier’s PR KASSALIC ROBIN REDFEET. (37d) MN 7.5.07. Another handsome youngster, finer in bone structure than the previous lad but very lithe and elegant. Strong evenly balanced wedge head with large wide based and well set ears. Straight profile with a good chin and bite. Expressive mid green oriental eyes. Long well muscled body with long legs and tail. Slightly long, virtually sound rich red coat with some tabby pattern evident. Presentation and temperament both excellent.

1 Hutchings’s WILLHAVETODO IMJUSTDIVINE. (43e) 4.8.07. Lovely girl, very stylish but also very nervous and wriggly which made assessment of her coat pattern quite difficult. Strong balanced wedge head with large wide based and well flared ears. Near straight profile with a firm chin. I was only allowed a cursory glance at her bite, but it did look ok. Lovely vivid green eyes of excellent oriental shape and setting. Long elegant body and neckline, firm and well toned with long slim legs and a long fine whip tail. Coat very short and of excellent texture, the warm toned undercoat looked to be clear, and extending to approximately 2/3 the hair length, the black tortie shading well mingled with shades of red. Beautifully presented.
AC Oriental Senior Neuter.
1 Miller’s IMP GR PR PASHTAN VALIANT. (37d) MN 12.3.05. A very tall and elegant chap. Long strong wedge head with large well set ears which he tends to bonnet accentuating the small bump at the back of his skull. Straight profile, the chin a little shallow, his teeth rather untidy but the bite looked level. Mid green eyes of excellent oriental shape, as touch deep set. Very long muscular body, stands up very tall on long strong legs. Whip tail in balance. Slightly long sound rich red coat showing some tabby pattern. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
2 Tasker’s CH & GR PR BUNDOOK OHM MAID. (62 43n) FN 25.11.01. A lady of good overall type – not too happy about things today. Mid length wedge which narrows to a sharp muzzle. Good top line with large well set ears. Dip to profile, firm chin, level bite. Lovely bright vivid green colour to her eyes of good oriental shape and setting. Long firm body with legs and tail in balance. Caramel shaded coat of good length and free of surface pattern, the clear warm beige undercoat pushing the shading well up the hair shaft, but lacking flow and silkyness today, the texture quite dry and woolly.
