JOYCE GREEN * REPORT ON THE WILTSHIRE & DISTRICT SHOW 2011

My thanks to Helen Hardwick for being such an efficient steward; we both enjoyed our day at this happy well run show.

AOV SEMI LH PREMIER (GRAND PREMIER) NEUTER: MALE

GR PR CLAYSON PR LYNDONGRAEY KENTUCKY 64 41s

Young boy but has very good size and structure, strong limbs, large well tufted feet, long well furnished tail. His coat has good length, ruff and breeches evident; markings show good contrast with silver ground and well defined pattern including butterfly and oysters. Strong head has square muzzle, concave curve in profile, large ears set high and well furnished. Well opened expressive eyes.

RES CLARKE PR RAGSHAVEN MR SWEETBEASTIE 66a

Another very nice exhibit, muscular and very well boned, lovely long bushy tail. Silky textured coat is pale bluish-white with nice blue points, very nice ruff and knickerbockers. Broad head has width between medium ears, cheeks well developed, muzzle tapers slightly, good chin. Large well opened eyes set slightly oblique, clear blue colour.

I also liked the other exhibit in this class, PR FORESTMIST LORD BAILEY, an adolescent youngster who looks promising.

GR PR PERCIVAL GR CH & PR HUGNHOLD SUMMER BREEZE 66w

Mature lass of excellent type and structure, substantial leg boning, large well tufted paws. Lovely coat of beige with deep seal mask and ears, pure white underbody and sparkling white paws. Nice ruff frames her face. Broad head has flat plane, medium ears set wide, well developed rounded muzzle, perfect profile and nose has retrousse tip. Well opened clear blue eyes. She is a real sweetie and purred for us all the time.

RES SPOONER PR TIGANLEA MISTRESS ESHA 67 31et

Well structured exhibit who has very good bone structure, high on legs, large tufted paws, super long tail is well covered with thick bushy fur. Profuse coat has woolly undercoat, ruff and knickerbockers. Triangular head, long straight profile, firm chin, large open ears set high and showing nice tufts and streamers. Large well opened oval eyes are well set.

EXOTIC TABBY/TABBY & WHITE KITTEN: MALE

1 BOB CLARK SHEERBLISS OSSIAN 70 7

Nicely formed youngster whose cobby body is well muscled, sturdy legs, large paws, tail in proportion. His coat is quite dense and stands out from the body, showing very good contrast between markings and silver base, just slight tarnish around muzzle; nice oyster and butterfly markings, also well defined leg and tail rings, ‘M’ on forehead. Round head, growing into ears which are set well apart, very good nose leather; large wide-set hazel eyes show bold expression. He is a real sweetie.

SEAL POINT BIRMAN ADULT: FEMALE

1 CC SCOTT AREZZA TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS

Well proportioned girl with very good muscle, thick-set legs, strong paws, nice bushy tail. Long silken coat of pale beige with good colour on points, gloves level across front paws, gauntlets not quite even. Well shaped rounded head, ears well spaced, nice line in profile, well developed muzzle, full cheeks. Almost round eyes are deep blue. She has a lovely face and expression.

2 FISHER PANZALIA MEGGIEMAE

Well muscled body on thick-set legs, short strong paws, nice bushy tail. Long silken coat of pale beige, good colour on points , showing just a hint of brindling on mask. Front gloves match, one gauntlet slightly narrow. Rounded head has well spaced ears, slight convex outline to nose, full cheeks, well developed chin. Almost round eyes of very good colour.

3 PEARSON SAKKARA KIKI

Quite an elegant girl with long body which has muscle but I felt she needed a bit more substance and stronger bone structure. Long silken coat of very nice colour, deep seal mask and ears, tidy gloves and gauntlets. Head rather narrow, needing a bit more breadth between the ears, medium nose, muzzle quite well developed, well opened clear blue eyes.

BOB: TOWNSEND CH TARKUSHA CARMEN

Well grown lass of very nice type and structure; lovely coat and very good markings to all feet; strong well shaped head, lovely face and expression.

BLUE POINT BIRMAN ADULT: MALE

1 CC FISHER PANZALIA DARIUS

Very nice young boy who is well structured, thick-set legs, well shaped paws and nice bushy tail. Lovely pale clear coat of silky texture with good colour on points, tidy gloves and gauntlets. Rounded head has ears well spaced, still shaping up in the muzzle which needs to fill out, good chin; almost round eyes are deep blue.

BLUE POINT BIRMAN ADULT: FEMALE

1 CC NUTLEY SIOLU ABRACADABRA

Young lady who is adolescent but developing well. Good muscle to body, well proportioned legs and paws, nice bushy tail. Lovely pale silky coat has nice blue points, tidy markings to all feet. Well shaped head has ears set well apart, muzzle still needing to develop, medium nose and slight dip in profile. Almost round eyes of very good colour.

BOB: GRIFFITHS CH MUSCAR JENICOL-MARISA

Lovely well grown girl, well structured and wearing a super coat. Strong well shaped head, lovely face and expression.

CORNISH REX ADULT: FEMALE

BOB: ARNOLD UK & IGR CH PAPAVER PANDORA

Elegant mature girl of excellent type, lovely closely curled coat and very good head shape and ears set. Not as relaxed as usual but I love her all the same.

DEVON REX ADULT: FEMALE

1 CC BOB KEATES ROGUS BARBERELLA

Elegant girl feeling hard and muscular, high on slender limbs, neat tidy paws, long tapering tail. Well covered in short even coat showing waves and ripples. Very nice head has short broad wedge, brow curves back to flat skull, high cheeks, well defined whisker break, short nose with definite stop. Large ears of good shape are well set, wide set large expressive eyes. I love her pixie face.

BOB: ARCHER IMP INT GR CH SHADANZAA TANZANITE

Stunning mature girl who ticks all the boxes. Excellent coat and such a beautiful head and wonderful eyes give her the typical expression.

TONKINESE NEUTER:

BOB: EDGE IGR CH & PR FECHELDEE CHAILAI TITAYA

Excellent type, very elegant, lovely coat quality and well shaped head; looking wonderful for her nine years.

BROWN TORTOISESHELL BURMESE ADULT: FEMALE

1 CC BOB MCCALL FAUNESE VALENTINE SYLPS

Well balanced young lady of very nice type. Very good muscle to body, elegant firm limbs, neat oval paws, well proportioned tail. Lovely coat has fine silky texture and lies close to the body, showing an attractive mix of colours. Well shaped head, ears set well apart, well defined nose break in profile, good chin. Large lustrous eyes show nice expression.

AOC TORTOISESHELL BURMESE ADULT: FEMALE

1 CC BELL MEDORAS BELLADONNA TOOK 27h

Well structured girl feeling firm and muscular, well proportioned tail and limbs, neat oval paws. Short close lying coat has fine silky texture and the colouring shows warmth throughout. Very good head is well shaped, short wedge, distinct nose break in profile, ears set well apart. Large lustrous eyes of very good colour. A very stylish girl.

2 VIRTUE HOBBERDY HYACYNTHINE-HAZE 27j

Youngster who is only just adult and, although adolescent, is developing very well and looks promising. Very good muscle and substance for size, well proportioned tail and limbs, dainty oval paws. Fine silky textured coat shows delicate colouring giving her an attractive appearance. Neat head has ears well set, pleasing profile line, good chin. Lustrous eyes of very good colour. She is a real sweetie.

BOB DEW CH KATCHYN CHOCOLATEORANGE 27h

Well grown stylish girl who has lovely size and structure; very good coat and lovely shape to head. She has a super expression.

BROWN BURMESE NEUTER:

BOB WILLIAMS UK& IGRPR ZAMPETTO LIMITED EDITION

Super mature girl with a beautiful coat and true ‘burmese’ head; she has a wonderful expression. Enjoys good living now by the feel of her but still such a stylish exhibit.

I also loved the boy I had for consideration (GR PR ADATEBU BOBTHEBLOB) He is strong and well structured and also has a beautifully glossy short coat. I also loved his face and expression.
