Wiltshire and District Cat Club 2nd July 2011 Saffi Rabey Judges Report
Many thanks to Elaine Robinson and Jackie Pell for the very kind invitation to judge in the Non Pedigree and Pedigree Pet Section and the honour of picking the Best In Show Non Pedigree Pet. Many thanks to my Mother Sue Wilkinson for stewarding; we had a great day and some stunning cats.
Imperial Grand Master Class Non Pedigree Pet Male
Imp GR MC to Mr J E Emery & Mrs J D Emery’s GMC Pumpkin, MN SH Ginger Tabby & White 1yr 8 mths. The first thing that struck me was the lovely size of this boy for such a young age! Very handsome rich Ginger Tabby with sparkling white. Super Presentation with a cracking personality, just loved a good cuddle and a play. He has lovely lemon coloured eyes that draw you in.
Res IMP GR MC to Master J Aldridge-Snell’s GMC Chester, MN SH Black & White 5 years. Another handsome chap. Jet black with sparkling white again very well presented. Lovely pale green eyes, pink paw pads and a very cute black nose. Sadly he was a lot happier in his pen than out but he was in no way difficult.

Imp GR MC to Mrs C A Tolhurst’s IGMC Heidi, FN SH Tortie Tabby & White 7 years. Such a pretty feminine lady. She is a big girl and obviously likes her food! Lovely pattern, rich red intermingling and super clean white to her coat. Gorgeous Green eyes. A very gentle girl that loved a cuddle, she really is in her prime.
Res IMP GR MC to Mr A T & Miss R M Kitson’s GMC Smartie, FN SH Tri-Colour 6 years. This lovely lady is not a Tri-Colour but is a Tortie and White and I did have an opportunity to speak to her owner on this subject. Another lady with good grooming however her eyes were a little dirty but her white was sparkling. Lovely red and black coat. A very confident lady and I loved her typically grumpy Tortie expression.

GR MC to Mrs C Stanton’s MC Hit The Jackpot, MN, SLH Bi Colour 13 months. WOW!!! What a huge boy for his age. Wonderful temperament and so well presented. His coat felt just like silk, beautiful sparkling white, it is so wonderful to see a cat this well groomed. He has wonderful china blue eyes and very heavily tufted feet, he just padded the whole time we had him out. He is a real cracker!!
Res GR MC to Ms M Haas MC Levi, MN SH Seal Point 1 year 10 mths. Another really big chap, very well padded! Wonderful blue eyes that really draw you in, so expressive. Again wonderful presentation, his coat felt like satin. I loved his little neat feet and wonderful temperament. A really had to nit pick between these two.

GR MC to Miss R A Summerley’s MC Itzy Bitz, FN SLH Seal Tortie Bi Colour 1 year 9 mths. This girl is such a pretty girly cat! I just loved her facial markings and freckles. Beautiful grooming, her coat felt super. I loved her coat colour, her chocolate coloured feet and deep blue eyes.
Res GR MC to Ms S Champken’s MC Rosabella, FN SH Lilac Colourpoint 15 months. Impressive big girl with a super dense texture to her coat. Again some super grooming Lovely pale blue eyes, big head and tree trunk thick legs. Very sweet nature and just loved a cuddle.

This was a very hard class, all were gorgeous.
1st MC & BIC to Miss R Lynch’s Tico, SH Tabby MN 10 years. What wonderful condition for his age, I had to look at least twice to be sure what my book said!! He is a huge chap with a lovely stripy body, lovely gooseberry green eyes and I loved his stripy legs, looked like he was wearing socks. This boy really loved a cuddle.
2nd to Mrs J Smith’s Alan, SH Tabby & White, MN 1 year. Lovely young lad that was unlucky to come up against Tico today. A super pattern to his body and wonderful grooming to his white areas. I loved his almost Egyptian style eye make up. Very sweet nature and loved having a game with the feather stick.

BIC to Miss T Simmonds & Mr B Hall’s MC Charlie. MN 2 years. A lovely boy but was a little grumbly but not difficult. Grooming was good but could have benefited from just a little more attention to detail. Gorgeous Blue eyes and I loved his white nose blaze. A nice lad.

1st MC & BIC to Mrs B Hollandt’s Special-One LH Black Silver Spotted MN 2 years 3 mths. A very good looking fella, wonderful presentation having a lovely texture to his coat. A very delicate pretty colour, sorry I know you are a boy but the coat was pretty!! Gorgeous green eyes with a brick red nose. I thought he was super!

This was a very hard class to judge especially when it came to the BIC
1st MC to Mrs T Pepperell MC Little Fred, MN SLH Cream Point 2 years 6 mths. A nice big boy, well groomed. Lovely deep blue eyes, pink nose and rich cream colour to his coat. Super white feet with long tufts. A very sweet natured boy who loved a cuddle.
BIC to Mrs E Scott’s GMC Twizzle, MN SLH Blue Pointed, 7 years. This boy just had the most amazing temperament, such a complete tart! Another well groomed chap showing super condition for his age. He really was a soppy boy who would have stayed out on the trolley all day!!
Royal Canin Western Challenge Black, White or Black and White Non Pedigree Pet
1st Mrs L Talboy’s MC Gobbolino, MN SLH Black 1 year 3 mths. I just adore this cat!! He has a super temperament and is always presented beautifully. His coat is such a dense black, wonderful emerald green eyes and the thing I can never get over is that all his whiskers are black, not one white one anywhere. It was my great pleasure to make him BIS Non Pedigree Pet later in the day.

1st Mr G & Mrs C Cullin’s GMC Elijah, SH Blue Tabby Point MN 3 years 8 months. Elijah is just the most friendly cat I have ever come across!!! So relaxed, super friendly and was having a ball. He would have stayed lying upside down in my arms all day. I had to stop my steward from stealing him, he is a cracker.
