WYVERN CAT CLUB 11/09/2010 Judge – Mrs. Barbara Prowse.

 Thanks to Eileen and Margaret for the invitation to judge at this very well run show. My steward for the day was Terry White, as always a pleasure to work with as she handles the cats so well. Thanks Terry look forward to the next time.

 BLACK ADULT

1ST CC W/H MRS M HOWES’S CH HONEYMIST BLACK MAXIMUS (1) M 2/6/07

Black who is obviously a working boy as he is very underweight. He is well balanced for Persian type. Head is round with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full black leather. Good bite. Cheeks full with firm chin. Good bite. Coat well prepared seasonally short, dense black and sound to the roots. Unfortunately he has a fixed deviation at the end of his tail.

 CREAM ADULT

 BOB W/H MRS M HOWES’S CH HONEYMIST CREAM ROXIANNA (5) F 1/7/05 

 Cream of very old fashioned Persian type. Good shape and size to body. Round head with neat ears which are well furnished. Round pale orange eyes. Good bite. Nose a little long and needing more break. Cheeks could be fuller. Coat well prepared but very very unsound. Tail in proportion to body.

Bi – COLOURED ADULT MALE

 1CC MS M HANCOX’S LINNEL FOREVERLUV (12a2) M 31/5/09 

 Blue and White Bi Colour of good size and shape. Cobby and standing low on short thick legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round orange eyes. Short snub nose with good stop and full leather. Bite acceptable. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared coat of a sparkling white and a pale blue. Mainly white coat with blue patches on body. Blue and white face. Fully coloured tail which is in proportion to his body.

2nd MS R JENKINS’S CH LOMORAS BOBBY DAZZLA (12a5) M 29/8/09 

 Red and White Bi-Colour of good shape and size, cobby and standing low on the legs. Round head needing a little more width between neat well furnished ears. Round copper eyes which I would have liked a shade larger. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Level bite. Full fat cheeks, strong chin. Well-prepared coat of rich red and sparkling white. White inverted V to face. Nicely patched coat. Full brush.

Bi – COLOURED ADULT FEMALE

1CC BOB MESSRS OSMOND & CALVAGNA RIASCATZ MISS GRACE (12a7) F 22/7/08 

 Well grown Cream and White Bi Colour of lovely well balanced Persian type. Large round head with excellent width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive eyes of a good orange colour. Short broad nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Full cheeks. Well-prepared coat of pastel cream and a sparkling white. Cream and white face. Nicely patched body with fully coloured tail which is in proportion to her body.

AC TABBY & WHITE ADULT

1CC BOB MRS J REES’S JUANNRE GREEN BABE (12a1t) F 22/10/09 

 Brown Tabby and White of pleasing balanced Persian type. Cobby in shape and standing low on the legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round copper eyes just needing to be a bit deeper in colour. Short snub nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Well prepared coat showing patches of colour with well displayed classic Tabby markings and a sparkling white. Well ringed tail.

 BOB MRS J NICHOLSON’S CH QUARTET INSPIRATION (12a1t) F 21/4/09 

 Brown Tabby and White. Lovely shape and size and nicely balanced for Persian type, a real pretty young lady. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Full fat cheeks, strong chin. Well-prepared coat of sparkling white with patches of warm brown showing good tabby markings. Well ringed tail.

 TORTOISESHELL COLOURPOINT KITTEN

1ST BOB MR & MRS EMERY’S SWINGLETREE CANDY FLOSS (13b6) F 21/5/10 

 Seal Tortie point who is cobby in shape and well grown for her age. Head is round and she has good width between her ears. Round blue eyes. Short broad nose with good stop. Cheeks round with firm chin. Good bite. Coat well prepared. Points are seal brown showing shades of red with all points broken with colour. Dinky tail.

TORTIE TABBY NEUTER

1PC BOB MRS M HOWES’S IMP GR CH HONEYMIST EDANA (8e) FN 12/4/07 

 Tortie Tabby of well balanced Persian type. Cobby in shape and standing on short legs. Round head with good width between neat ears that are well furnished. Round copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Full fat cheeks, strong chin. Well-prepared coat showing well defined Tabby markings. Black markings on a brilliant coppery brown agouti ground which is overlaid with shades of red. Tail well ringed.

SEAL POINT BIRMAN ADULT

1CC BOB MR & MRS VEAL’S ASTVALE ELLA MAIDOFHEARTS (13c1) F 9/11/09

 Pretty Seal Point Birman. Body is long and she stands on medium length legs on short strong paws. Head broad and rounded with medium sized ears that are spaced well apart. Almost round blue eyes which are two tone at present. Nose medium in length with a slight dip in profile. Cheeks needing to fill a little. Chin full and well developed. Level bite. Well prepared coat. Coat is long and silken in texture. Points are a dense seal. Front paws have pure white scalloped gloves. Back paws have white socks which are medium in length. Good length to gauntlets. Tail bushy and in proportion. Lovely temperament.

TORTIE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN

1ST BOB MR W BAXTER’S ELMARLEY MISTONTHE WATER (13c10) F 2/4/10

Lilac Tortie Birman who is very pretty. Well grown for age and standing on legs that are medium in length on short strong paws. Skull is broad and rounded and her ears are medium in size and spaced well apart. Eyes are almost round and medium blue in colour. Nose medium in length with slight dip in profile. Good bite. Cheeks developing with well developed chin. Coat well prepared. Points are lilac intermingled with shades of cream. She has a lovely cream/lilac blaze down her nose. All points show lilac and cream. Pure white gloves that are scalloped and finish at the angle of the paw and leg. Socks cover the entire back paws. Gauntlets are medium in length. Tail bushy and medium in length.

BROWN TABBY MAINE COON NEUTER

 1PC BOB MRS D NEWMAN’S COONTASTIC ARTHURPENDRAGON (64 41w) MN 27/9/09 

 Brown Tabby and White Maine Coon who has come on beautifully since I last saw him as a kitten. Good size and body conformation standing on substantial legs on large round well-tufted paws. Body well grown with substantial boning. Head medium in length with large tall well-tufted ears, which are spaced well apart. Full and round gold eyes set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Level bite. Square muzzle, cheeks fairly full and high cheek bones. Coat well prepared showing a warm brown agouti ground colour, M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to ears. Body markings diffused at present due to length of coat. White inverted V. White feet, chest and underparts. Tail long, well ringed and at least the length of the body. Wonderful temperament.

BLUE KITTEN MALE

 1ST BOB MRS B LECKIE’S KOLINGA DUCATI M (16) 7/4/10 

 Blue kitten of excellent size and shape. Cobby and compact showing good depth of body even at this age. Nicely balanced type. Round head with good width between rounded ears which he needs to grow into. Large round orange eyes that are nicely spaced. Nose is short broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks are full. Chin is a little weak. Coat is a medium shade of blue almost sound and showing silver tipping at present. It is a little long, dense and soft in texture rather than crisp at present. Tail is medium in length and thick with a rounded tip

2ND MRS C HARDY’S STONNALL JEWEL OF THE EAST (16) M 31/5/10 

 British Blue baby who is sweet and has a lovely temperament. He is cobby in shape and is well grown for his age. He stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Round head with good width between rounded ears. Round expressive orange eyes which are spaced nicely apart. Nose is short broad and straight. Level bite. Nicely rounded cheeks with firm chin. Coat is a lovely pale shade of blue and is a little wispy still and lacking undercoat. It is a good length and texture. Tail is a little short, thick and with a rounded tip. Lovely to handle.

3RD MRS L TIBBITTS’S CHRISHELL COUNT DOOKU (16) M 18/4/10

Blue kitten. Cobby and compact showing good depth of body. Round head which is a little small in proportion to his body needing a little more width between ears that were a little tall on the day. Large round orange eyes that are nicely spaced. Nose is short broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks needing to fill. Firm chin. Coat is a medium shade of blue; it is a little unsound at the moment near the roots. Coat is short, dense and crisp. Tail is medium in length and thick with a rounded tip. He just needs to come together.

MRS L BROWN’S CHARMODEN SIMPLY-BAXTER (16) M 22/4/10 

 Blue beginning to go through the adolescent stage. A little rangy in shape with head needing to broaden and cheeks needing to fill. Ears are medium in size needing just a little more width between them. Eye shape and size is good but colour is a little pale. Coat is medium blue in shade but rather unsound at present. He just needs to balance out. Tail in proportion to his body.

MS J BUJALSKA-AXON’S DELPHINIUM BOMBADIER (16) M 11/5/10 

 Blue kitten of good size and shape. Cobby, compact showing good depth of body. Round head needing a little more width between ears that he needs to grow into. Large round copper eyes that are nicely spaced. Nose is short broad and straight with a slight break. Level bite. Cheeks needing to fill. Chin a trifle weak. Coat is a dark shade of blue and rather unsound at the moment. Coat is short, dense but a little soft in texture. Tail is medium in length and thick

BLUE KITTEN FEMALE

1ST MRS C HARDY’S STONNALL TITANIA (16) F 31/5/10

Pretty young lady. Good size and shape. Cobby standing low on the legs. Head is round with ears that are small and rounded and spaced well apart. Large round expressive pale orange eyes. Nose is broad, short and straight. Cheeks need to round out a little. Level bite firm chin. Coat is a lovely shade of blue; it is a little unsound at the roots. Coat is dense, short and crisp. Tail is thick and medium in length.

2ND MRS D PLATT’S MENARA ROSIE BLUE (16) F 14/3/10 

 Blue kitten well grown but a little unbalanced at the moment. Body is a little rangy in shape and head is a little small. Head is triangular in shape with cheeks needing to fill. Ears are a little tall at present and needing more width between them. Round expressive orange eyes. Nose is short broad and straight. Good bite. Coat is a little soft in texture and long in length. It is a rather dark shade of blue and quite unsound at present. Tail is medium in length.

A.O.C. SILVER SPOTTED KITTEN

1ST BOB MRS S CHANCE’S CRAZIPUSS SILENT PROMISE (30es) F 11/4/10 

 Very pretty Tortie Silver Spotted. Cobby body standing low on short strong legs with round firm paws. Round head with full cheeks. Good width between ears that are rounded at the tips but just a little tall at the moment. Large round copper eyes which are spaced nicely apart. Short nose which is broad and straight. Good bite. Strong firm chin. Coat is short dense and crisp. Ground colour is pale silver with black Tabby markings overlaid with small patches of red. The head markings are M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to the ears. Body and legs showing well defined oval shaped spots. Tail has narrow rings and is medium in length.

AC COLOURPOINTED BRITISH KITTEN MALE

1ST BOB MRS K HOLLOWAY’S WINDYMEADOW IVANOVIC (40 14) M 1/5/10 

 My take home kitten of the day. Lilac Tabby Colourpointed who is well grown for his age. He is already compact in shape, well balanced standing on short strong legs. Rounded head with good width between neat and small ears that are round at the tip. Large round eyes of blue. Nose is short broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks full with good depth to chin. Coat short and dense a little soft in texture at the moment but a good length. Points are lilac, showing well defined Tabby markings on head, legs and tail. Tail is medium in length, rounded at the tip and well ringed.

 2ND MRS G CHESTERMAN’S MENARA BIT O CRUMPET (40 4) M 29/3/10 

 Lilac Colourpointed who is a little rangy at present. Body long and head needs to catch up as it is a little small. Head round with ears that are rather large and need to be further apart. Round pale blue eyes. Nose a little long but it is broad and straight with a full pink nose leather. Cheeks needing to fill out. Good bite. Coat short, dense and crisp. Points colour a dark pinkish grey with a magnolia white body. Tail is medium in length, thicker at the base with a rounded tip.

AC COLOURPOINTED BRITISH KITTEN FEMALE

 1ST MRS K HOLLOWAY’S WINDYMEADOW GUNS N ROSES (40 14) F 1/5/10 

 Lilac Tabby Colourpointed who is a good size and shape for her age. She is cobby and stands low on her legs. Head is round with good width between ears that are small and rounded. Round blue eyes. Nose is short broad and straight. Bite is marginally undershot. Coat is short dense and crisp and magnolia white. Points are lilac, showing well defined Tabby markings on head, legs and tail. Tail is medium in length, rounded at the tip and well ringed.

2ND MRS D PLATT’S MENARA PIXIE LOVEALOTT (40 4) F 29/3/10

Lilac Colourpointed going through the teenage stage at present. Body is rather rangy but she stands on strong legs on round paws. Round head with good width between ears that are a little large at present. Round eyes of blue. Nose is short, broad and straight. Good bite. Cheeks needing to fill with firm chin. Coat is magnolia white and it is short dense and crisp. Points are a bluey lilac and are lacking a pink tone. Tail is thick and medium in length. Lovely temperament. I am very sorry but I am unable to report my Miscellaneous classes due to inadvertently disposing of my judges book whilst tidying the paperwork around my computer after the Bucks, Oxon & Berks show!
