Persian Grand Champion Male
1 Imp Ellis’s GR CH SOROLYA FAMOUS FOOTSTEPS
A two year old cream tabby colourpoint boy with good head type and excellent physique. Large solid cobby body set low on short thick legs with large rounded paws. Broad top of head with well set ears of small size set far apart and showing faint thumb prints. Bold eyes of large size had very good blue colour and with faint spectacles. Broad short nose with a well defined stop and a full pink nose leather with good size nasal openings. Fat rounded cheeks with a broad muzzle, strong chin and an almost level bite. Good cream mask which matched the ears very well, with the paws a little paler and showing a tabby ‘M’ on his forehead. Not in full coat today but what he had was soft, thick and dense with a short frill and was well prepared. The body was creamy white and slightly shady and his back was a little solid and lacking in tabby markings but the legs had faint barring and he had a short thick and very fluffy tail. A gentle friendly cat who handled with ease.
Persian Self Champion Male
A class of two superb males with very little to choose between them. In the end, coat condition and presentation was the deciding factor.

Broad top of head with very neat ears set well apart. Fairly large round eyes with super deep copper colour and bold expression. Very short nose with a strong nose break and very large nostrils. Good scissor bite, full rounded cheeks, wide muzzle and a strong deep chin. The coat was very long and full and was lovely, soft and shiny with every hair separate and with a very long and full frill. Wonderful broad top of head with neat ears that were sitting a little open at the time. Huge round eyes with super copper colour that does not come any deeper and with lovely bold expression. Very short nose with a strong stop and good size nasal openings. The cheeks were round and full and he had a broad muzzle, very strong chin and a good scissor bite. He was in good coat which was long, soft and full with an excellent deep frill and was a sound black on his back but slightly shady on his underside and frill. The tail was very short and bushy and in proportion to the body. A gentleman when handled with a lovely temperament and who was well presented for show.
Birman Champion Female
1 GR CC Pool’s CH SARMOYAH CHIQUITA
A tortie tabby birman girl who was very pretty and had lovely birman type. Broad rounded head with well set ears of medium size. Fairly full cheeks with good face width, a broad muzzle, a firm slightly tapering chin and a level bite. Correct and pleasing profile with a slight dip at the nasal bridge. Lovely eyes, almost round in shape with very good blue colour and circled with pale spectacles. Well grown body of medium size with strong well boned legs. The coat was lovely and soft, a very clear fawn shade and presented in excellent condition with points that were very brightly coloured with tortie shades. She had a good mask showing bright tortie colours overlaid with tabby markings and she had one red ear and one with red and black. The feet were all broken and all four were showing tortie colouring. She had clean white gloves, good socks and gauntlets. The tail was in proportion to the body length and was well furnished. On the day, she was not in a good humour and had a lot of rude language for us and did not make it easy for us to handle her.
Res Coupland and Brown’s CH BROFIELD BABOOSHKA
A very playful tortie tabby birman girl who had good type and well grown firm body that was of medium size, solid, with well boned legs and short rounded paws. Broad rounded head with well set ears of medium size and showing clear thumb prints. Medium nose that had a slight dip in profile and with a full pink nose leather. Well spotted muzzle, full rounded cheeks, with a firm chin that could have been a little stronger for better facial balance and with a level bite. Almost round eyes with lovely deep blue eye colour and circled with pale spectacles. The coat was soft and very silky and was a clear fawn and only just a touch shady on her back. A ruff was just coming in and she had good barring on the legs and a medium length brush which had faint tabby rings. All four feet were broken with tortie colours and she had clean white foot markings. The socks were well matching and her left glove was a touch lower and the left gauntlet was slightly narrower but all were of similar lengths. A very sweet girl with a lovely nature who was still rather kitten like in appearance but has plenty going for her as she matures further.

A very sweet natured girl who handled well and was perfectly shown.
Red, Cream, Tortie, Blue Cream, Chocolate Tortie or Lilac Cream Smoke Adult
1 CC and BOB Koeler’s PETOVIA’S RED WINDY
A red smoke boy who had very good type. Good head width with neat ears spaced far apart on the skull which had very long ear feathers. Large eyes, fully round had excellent copper colour and a bold expression. Very broad nose with a strong nose break and a pink nose leather. Full rounded cheeks gave the face good width and he had a firm deep chin with a slightly undershot bite. The face had a pleasing expression and a red mask was clearly present. Body shape was very Persian being cobby and with a broad chest and large well rounded rump. Strong legs with good boning had large rounded paws supporting his weighty body. The coat was fairly long but not at its fullest at this time of year and was a rich red over the back, face and tail. He had a long full frill which that was pale in colour and a short thick bushy tail. The contrasting undercoat was lacking on his back due to the time of year but he had pale fur on the flanks, a pale underside, frill and ear feathers. Well presented boy with good show nature.

An orange eyed white exotic boy with lovely type. Chunky solid head of good width and with neat well placed round tipped ears. Lovely large round eyes with eye colour that was still muddy in tone and still developing but which should be excellent copper colour later. Short broad nose with a very strong nose break and a pink nose leather with full size nostrils. Fat chubby cheeks that were well rounded and a strong chin with a scissor bite. The body was cobby and firm, very solid and well grown with short legs and fat rounded paws. The coat was thick and dense, feeling plush and standing out well from the body with a short thick tail. A boy with a delightful cuddly nature who handled well.
AC Silver Classic, Mackerel or Spotted Tabby Kitten
1 Morris’s HEATHROSE HEIDI HONEYCOMB
A delightful red silver tabby kitten of four months of age. She has lovely balanced type with a wide top of head carrying tiny ears spaced well apart with long ear feathers. Lovely large round eyes with very muddy eye colour that will be a very deep copper shade later. Very short snub nose with a pink nose leather, full rounded cheeks and a firm deep chin. Her bite was nice and wide but at the moment she has the lower canines in the wrong position, being sited outside the upper ones and which hopefully will change when she gets her adult dentition. The coat was soft and thick and had a silvery undercoat throughout and was a pleasing rich shade of red with good tabby markings showing a distinct ‘M’ on her forehead, good face and head lines, a well spotted muzzle, spectacles, and clear barring on her legs. The tail was short and well furnished and had a hint of tabby rings along its length. A very cute baby who was well presented.
Seal Point Birman Kitten
Two very pleasing seal point birman kittens with little to choose between them.
1 and BOB Pool’s SARMOYAH AMIRA
A five month old girl with good width of head and with medium size ears set well on the skull. Almost round eyes with very deep blue colour that was paler at the edges. Profile had a slight dip at the nasal bridge with a medium length nose. Cheeks filling out well and the chin was slightly tapering and the bite was perfect. Body was well boned and firm and clothed in a soft silky coat of clear pale beige which was slightly shady on her back. The points were a deep seal brown shade and were well matching on the developing mask and ears and just a little paler on the legs and tail. The feet were a clean white and she had matching gloves that were a little low and slightly scalloped. The socks were symmetrical and the gauntlets were almost level with the left one just a touch longer and the right one having a slightly untidy edge. Her tail was in proportion to the body length and was slightly brindled on the upper part of the tail and was well feathered. A real poppet when handled and who was well presented.
2 Johnson’s MITTENMIST QUEEN O’THEMIST
Another delightful birman baby of five months with good type and firm body that was well muscled. Broad rounded head with medium size ears sited well. Nose of medium length had a slight dip in profile and just a hint of a bump at the tip. The chin was firm, the cheeks were filling out well and she had a perfect level bite. Very large eyes with good blue eye colour just appearing a little bold but with a lovely expression. The coat was soft and silky and was a pale beige shade and just a little shady on the back. The seal mask was developing well and she had matching seal brown ears. The tail and legs were slightly paler in colour. The gloves were pure white and were very low and scalloped and she had a tiny seal brown dip, which were quite symmetrical, running down between two of the toes on both paws. The socks were well matching and symmetrical and the gauntlets were not quite equal in length but had the same width. A dear kitten who handled well and was perfectly presented.
Silver Tabby Series Maine Coon Kitten
Not much to choose between these two kittens who had the same birthday and were later found to be litter sisters.
1 and BOB Spence and Rust’s KISNTEL FIRESTARTER
A very pretty classic tortie silver and white female of eight months of age with pleasing type and solid physique of good weight . Well shaped head of medium length with a correct profile having a shallow curve at the nasal bridge which was sited half way between the earline and nose tip and had a deep pink nose leather edged with black. The cheeks were filling out well and she had high cheek bones and a very well developed square muzzle which had tabby spots. The bite was level and the chin was firm giving her face a balanced look. The ears were tall and pointed, well open at the base and had short ear tufts and long silvery ear feathers. Large round eyes were spaced well apart in the face and had orange colour with pale spectacles and set slightly oblique with a delightful expression. Body shape was truly rectangular with a square ending rump. Legs were strong and well boned with large white paws that had short tufts. The coat was of medium length and shorter over the head and neck and fuller down the back and breeches. It was white on her bib and underside while the other areas had a silvery white ground colour with dense black markings overlaid with very rich tortie red patches that were very bright and distinctive. Tabby pattern was very clear throughout head, face and body. The tail was long and tapered towards the tip but not quite as long as her sisters but fully furnished and with good tabby rings. Her name of Firestarter, in view of her rich red patches, seemed to be very apt! A promising baby.
2 Spence and Rust’s KISNTEL FUZZBOX VOODOO
Another classic tortie silver tabby and white girl with fairly good type, well grown body shape and solid weight. Medium head had the length slightly longer than the width and carried tall open ears with pointed tips that had silver tufts and ear feathers. The uniform width nose had a shallow dip in profile and a pink nose leather. Her muzzle was fairly square but not as good as her sister and showing tabby spots. The cheeks were filling out but a little narrow at present, the chin was firm and slightly tapering and she had a good level bite. Slightly oblique set eyes had greenish yellow colour and were round, of a large size and circled with pale spectacles. Tortie colouring was very attractive on her face and she had a pale reddish colour on her nose. Long rectangular body shape with a square ending rump and well muscled legs with large paws supported the body weight. The bib and underside were white and she had white on all four paws which had short white tufts. The coat was longer over the back and legs and had a shiny topcoat. The ground colour was silvery white and had good tabby pattern apparent on the head and upper limbs but was diffuse over the body. The black tabby pattern was overlaid with tortie shades of red and was seen clearly on her face and over the flanks. The tail was very long reaching easily to the shoulders and was well furnished. A good natured girl when handled.
AOC Maine Coon Kitten Male
Wrong Colour Calvert’s MIGATOBONITO ORLANDO DIAZ
A six month old kitten who was entered in my book as a cream smoke and white. Overall appearance showed he was a well grown kitten with a medium length head of correct proportions and had fairly tall ears, open at the base which could have been sitting prouder on the head and showing short tufts and pale feathering. Large eyes, round in shape had yellow green colour and were set slightly oblique, fairly wide apart and showing pale spectacles. Nose of uniform width with a shallow curve at the nasal bridge having a slight nose bump and a pink nose leather. The chin was firm and he had a level bite although we struggled to get him to open his mouth. Rectangular body shape of good length ending with a square shaped rump and carried on sturdy well muscled legs that had large paws with short tufts. The tail was long and had just a hint of tabby rings and was well furnished. He had a white bib and underside and all four paws were white. The coat was of medium length and lengthened down the back and flanks. On close examination, the coat did not appear to show any silvery white undercoat on either the body or on the head or paws and was a cream colour right down to the roots. Confirmation of the breed number on the entry form with the show manager revealed that he had been entered as a cream smoke and white and I was sorry that I had to wrong colour this exhibit. I later managed to speak to the owner who informed me that they also were not sure of his breed number and had hoped it could be identified at the show. I consider that at present this cat looks more like a cream and white bicolour maine coon .
AOC Maine Coon Female
1 and BOB Dunn and Evans’s ELMCOON SWEET TEMPTATION
A red classic tabby of seven months of age with a well grown body and good type. Medium length head with the width slightly less than the length. Large ears with very long ear tufts, had a wide ear base, pale ear feathers and were set high on the head. The uniform width nose had a shallow concave curve at the nasal bridge which was half way between the ear line and nose tip and had a pink nose leather. A strong square muzzle with fat spotted whisker pads. Cheeks with good width, a firm chin and a level bite. Large round eyes had greenish yellow colour and were circled with pale spectacles and were set slightly oblique. Well grown body that was solid, firm and rectangular in shape with a fairly long neck and square ending rump. Strong muscled legs, showing good tabby barring and with large rounded paws that had short tufts. The coat was a rich red shade with distinct tabby markings present on body and head and had a glossy topcoat. Tummy fur was shaggy and longer on the flanks and breeches and a good ruff was developing. The tail was very long, tabby ringed and reached easily to the shoulders. Well presented exhibit with good show manners.
2 Shaw’s MOONENCIA SERENGETTI
Four month old classic tortie tabby and white girl with good type. Head of medium length and well balanced with tall ears that had short ear tufts, well opened at the base and showing long ear furnishings. Very large round eyes had greenish eye colour, set slightly oblique and with a very pleasing expression. The nose was of uniform width and had a concave curve at the nasal bridge, just a hint of a nose bump and with a reddish nose leather. An excellent square muzzle with good width and showing tabby spotting. The chin was firm, the cheeks were filling out and she had a good level bite. Body was of medium size and had a rectangular shape ending with a square shaped rump. It was firm and well muscled, of a good weight for her age and the legs were strong, had rounded paws with short tufts. The coat had a glossy topcoat and was in excellent condition that was short over the head and longer over the trunk region. The bib and underside were white and she had four white paws. The tabby pattern was very clear on the legs, head and face but more diffuse over the back and both body and head were brightly coloured with light and darker red tortie shades. The tail was long, well furnished and was broad at the base and tapered towards the tip and reaching well to the shoulders. A good natured girl when handled.
3 Hill’s LONCOON HATHORS DESIRE
A tortie smoke kitten of eight months of age who was well grown with a solid body of good weight and build. Head of medium length with fairly tall ears which could have been sitting prouder on the head and which had long black ear tufts and black ear feathering. Eyes were oblique set and had yellow green colour and were round and large in size. Her nose was split half red and half black and had a shallow curve in profile and was of uniform width. The bite was level and she had a fairly firm chin but her muzzle was needing to firm up more and become more square and the cheeks needed to widen for better facial balance. She had a well shaped rectangular body that was long, with a fairly long neck and a square shaped rump. The legs were strong and well boned and had large rounded and tufted paws. Her coat had a very clear silvery white undercoat with dense black pigment along two thirds of the hair shaft and had a glossy topcoat. A frontal ruff was developing well around her shoulders and she had longer fur on her back, flanks and tummy. Tortie colours were clearly visible over the body and she had a long well furnished tail that tapered towards the tip. A good natured exhibit when handled.
Blue Colourpoint Neuter
BOB Matthew’s UK and IMP GR PR PURRSRUS NEW AVENGER
A well built girl of large size and heavy weight with very good type. I was surprised to see that she is over nine years of age and looking absolutely great! Broad head, well rounded with small ears sited far apart. Short snub nose with a blue nose leather. Fully rounded cheeks, broad muzzle and a strong deep chin with a not quite level bite. Large rounded eyes with acceptable blue eye colour and bold expression. The body shape was very cobby and with a broad chest and large rounded rump. The legs were short, thick and well boned with large round tufted paws. The coat was long and full and was a clear glacial white, slightly shady on her flanks while the points were pale blue and very well matching on all her points. A short well furnished tail completed the picture. A well behaved girl when handled and shown with good preparation.
Chocolate or Lilac Point Birman Adult
BOB Mappin’s PR TWINKLETOES LILAC ALPHONSE
A lilac birman boy of seven years of age who had good type and build. Strong well boned legs with short round paws. He had a full soft coat of pale magnolia white that was very clear with points of pinkish grey which showed some signs of brindling in places on the tail and on the face due no doubt to the effect of the sunny summer weather. Good head type that was broad and rounded with well set medium size ears. Medium nose with a slight dip in profile and lilac nose leather. Good cheek width with a slightly receding chin. Large eye almost round had very dilated pupils that made it hard to determine his eye colour but it appeared to be a good shade of blue. The mask was well developed and matched the ears and legs. The feet markings were clean and white with matching gloves, socks and gauntlets although it was hard to see these as he was not happy to be handled and had a lot of rude language for us!

1 Hack’s GR PR ADSETSH BARWICK BLUE
A very attractive blue silver Somali girl who was four years old and had a well grown firm body of medium size that was muscular and lithe. Moderate shape head with gentle rounded contours and a rounded spotted muzzle. Good profile with a slight nose break and a pinkish blue nose leather. Ears were large and placed far apart and she had almond shaped eyes with yellowish colour ,set obliquely, circled with black spectacles and with a very pretty feminine expression. Full cheeks with a firm chin and a good level bite. Very good coat of medium length with a silver undercoat that had good blue ticking over the body but was shorter over the head. Body underside and inside the legs were a clear silvery white and the ear tips, face markings, short toe tufts and heels were solid blue. The ticking was heavier in a line down her spine and along the top of the tail which was long and well furnished. A cat with a delightful sweet nature who handled like a dream.
2 Dale’s JOMANEI ROCKEFELLER
A red silver tabby ragamuffin who was sixteen months old and who had a large solid body that was well muscled and set on strong legs with tufted paws. He was most uncooperative when handled which made it difficult to assess his bite for fear of getting bitten! He had a broad head of moderate length with rounded contours. The cheeks and muzzle were fairly rounded although I could not say it gave him a characterisitic ‘sweet look and gentle expression’ when he was hissing and spitting at me! The ears were set at the side of the head and were of medium size. The nose was fairly straight, not showing a definite nose break and he had a slightly receding chin. The eyes were large and spaced well apart and had greenish yellow colour. Body shape was fairly rectangular and the coat was very thick and full, of medium length, of a rich reddish shade but not soft to touch having rather coarse guard hairs and very lacking in soft undercoat. Temperament left a lot to be desired as his claws did draw blood on my arm and it would be advisable to clip his claws a little next time he goes to a show.
3 Rahman’s CANDYCOON CHEYENNE
Cream classic tabby maine coon who was over two years of age who had huge body size, weighty and was very solidly built supported on strong legs that were well muscled and had large rounded paws with short tufts. Medium length head that was not perfectly balanced. Fairly tall ears which could have been sitting more proud and with short tufts. Uniform width nose had a rather straight profile and a full pink nose leather. The eyes were large and round, set oblique and had yellowish colour and circled with pale spectacles. The muzzle was fairly square and he had high cheek bones. The bite was level but his chin receded a little and needs to firm up some more for better facial balance. Well shaped long rectangular body with a square ending rump, clothed in a short cream coloured coat that was slightly longer on the trunk regions, with a short ruff and which was very lacking in tabby pattern on his back and tail but visible on the limbs and head. The tail was very long, reaching well to the shoulders and had flowing fur. that tapered towards the tip. A very shy exhibit who struggled hard to hide beneath his blanket and did not want to be seen.
