Judge Sandra WoodleyMy thanks go to the Lynda and her team for the invitation to judge and the warm Yorkshire hospitality on the day. I must apologise to the exhibitors and show committee for my very late finish but I did not have a steward for most of the day which slowed me down. But very special thanks must go to Liz Holmes who stepped in and helped for my last few classes after a full day with another judge. Hope we can work together again Liz.

1 Bielby’s SODACHICATS GRETEL (83w) F 07/11/07Seal Point Snowshoe girl of just fewer than 12. She has medium boned legs with oval paws and a medium tapering tail that balances. Her head that is proportionate to her body with a fairly broad wedge with rounded contours and high cheek bones. She has large ears that are broad at the base with rounded tips. Her eyes that looked a little round today are medium sized and deep blue in colour. She has a firm chin and level bite. Her coat is short close lying and has deep seal markings on mask, ears, legs and tail with mittens and mask. She was a little unhappy but easy to handle.
2 Heavens ASWANI IOLANTHE (80L 45f) F 28/02/06Pretty La Perm with a medium sized muscular body with proportionate limbs and rounded paws. Her head shows a moderate wedge with slightly rounded, gentle contours and prominent whisker pads. Her profile shows a straight nose with a slight concave curve at the bridge and a flat plane to the forehead. Her ears are moderately large and well and follow the lines of her wedge. She has yellow expressive eyes that are almond shaped and set with a slight slant to the outside of the ear. Her coat was of medium length and she has a slight ruff but it felt quite harsh and wiry. A little hissy but handled well

1 Yates MERRYDANCER BAILLEE (23a) F 05/07/07Attractive Abyssinian girl with a medium length body which is firm and muscular with slender legs and neat oval paws. She has a well shaped tail that is thick at the base and tapers and balances the body. Gently rounded top of head with good width between large well set ears with that are cupped and have small tufts. She has a moderate wedge that tapers to a gently rounded muzzle. In profile she has a slight nosebreak with a straight line from her nose to chin. Her eyes are expressive of good colour and almond shaped with an oriental look. Her coat is short, fine and close lying clearly showing four bands of chocolate ticking on a bright apricot ground. She has attractive pale spectacles with black eyeliner and with lines running from her eyes to the top of her head. She has a solid line running from her head along the spine line and a coloured tip to her tail.
2 Ziccardi’s ROSSETTEA CATWALK DIVA (76 30) F 20/11/06This brown spotted Bengal has an elegant long body with very good muscle tone, strong legs and large rounded paws. Tail is medium length and thick with a rounded tip. Head has broad medium length wedge with high cheekbones and curved contours. There is gentle rounding from the forehead to the bridge of the nose. The muzzle is broad and slightly rounded with a firm chin and pronounced whisker pads. Ears are small on a wide base with rounded tips. Oval eyes are large ands set on a slight slant. Short soft dense coat with large arrowhead spots. Good head markings, spotty tummy with ringed tail with dark tip. She was noisy out on the table but gentle and handled well.
3 Holts & Higgins NEMOREZ DANCINON THEMOON (72b) F 01/01/07Very pretty chocolate self girl. She has a medium elegant body with straight back and rounded chest, proportionate limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. Her head is beautifully balanced with a gently rounded top and very good width between her well shaped and set ears, which are broad at the base, have rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt, their outer edge following the line of her wedge. In profile she has a slightly heavy brow with a distinct nose break and a short straight nose with a level medium chin. Her bite is very untidy. She has a short broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle. She has large lustrous yellow green eyes that have good set with a gentle curve to the top line that slants towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, set wide apart giving the correct Asian expression. Her coat is a fraction long but lies well and is a rich warm chestnut brown and lacks the required colour to the roots. A little sweetie you enjoyed our cuddles.

1 Kemps NATZKATZ JABULANI (72 45sq) F 26/01/08Classy black silver ticked tabby with Burmese colour restriction. A day off being an adult and looking mature. She has a well muscled medium length body that has a gently rounded chest and a straight back with elegant limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. Gently rounded dome with very good width between her medium sized ears that are broad at the base, have rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the line of her wedge. For perfection she needs a little more depth to her head but her profile shows a gently rounded brow with a distinct nosebreak, straight nose and shallow level chin and a level bite. She has a short broad wedge that narrow to a blunt muzzle. Large lustrous yellowy green eyes have a green inner rim and are of the correct shape and set with gentle rounding to the top line that slants towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, set wide apart giving the correct Asian expression. Beautiful texture to her short close lying coat which shows 2 bands of a warm seal brown on a sparkling silver ground, with colour on her heels, smudges on her front legs and half bars on the rear. She has an M on her forehead, pale spectacles with dark mascara around her eyes and a solid tip to her tail. A promising girl shown in tiptop condition and with a lovely temperament.
2 Rices CORVUS EUPHORIA (72b) F 24/05/08 Chocolate self kitten of very good weight for her 5 months. She has an elegant body with a straight back and rounded chest, proportionate limbs, neat oval paws and a good tail for shape and length. Her dome is just slightly flat but she has good width between her medium sized ears which are wide at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt. I felt she needed a fraction more depth to her head but her profile shows a gently rounded brow and a distinct nose break, short nose that just rolls off at the tip. She has good depth to her chin which is level as is her bite. Short broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle but is just a little pinched at the jaw hinge today. Beautiful rich golden yellow colour to her to her eyes that she was opening wide so they looked a little round. Her coat is short lying glossy and close lying and is a rich warm chestnut brown but shows lack of colour at the roots. A very sweet kitten that I could have popped in my pocket and was unlucky to meet 1 today.
3 Shepherds MAGICAL ROSYLEE (33a 18h) F 27/02/08Striking Devon Rex kitten with that exclusive Devon pixie look. Lithe well muscled body, proportionate limbs and neat oval paws. Her head formed a short wide with characteristic high cheek bones, strong level chin, with well defined whisker break, level bite. She has very large low set ears set wide apart tapering to rounded tips. In profile she has a flattish top to head with a curved brow, distinct stop and short nose. Large oval eyes are set wide apart giving her that lovely unique expression. Long tapering tail balances. She has a very short coat that is just show good rexing for her age. A very promising girl with a lovely temperament and shown in excellent condition.

1 Newton ARCHANGEL HAYLEYS COMET (84 31t) F 17/04/086 month old Sphynx with a medium length body and feeling firm and muscular with a broad, rounded chest and rump. Proportionate legs with oval paws, long slender toes and tail. Her head forms a modified wedge with rounded contours. She has prominent cheekbones and prominent whisker pads. Her muzzle is strong with a straight nose and slight stop. She has a strong chin and level bite. Her ears are large and open at the base with rounded tips. She has large and lemon shaped eyes that slant slightly upwards. Her skin is covered by a very fine down with covering of thicker covering on the backs of her ears. A very sweet kitten with a lovely temperament.
2 Hibbs CHRISJAY BEWITCHED (76 30) f 29/05/08At just 5 months of age this brown spotted Bengal shows great promise. She has an elegant long body with very good muscle tone, strong legs and large rounded paws. Her tail is of medium length and thick with a rounded tip. She has a beautiful Bengal head which has a broad medium length wedge with high cheekbones and curved contours. She has gentle rounding from the forehead to the bridge of the nose with a broad slightly rounded muzzle with a firm chin and pronounced whisker pads. Her ears are small on a wide base with rounded tips. Correctly shaped oval eyes are large ands set on a slight slant. She has the most beautiful short soft dense coat with large arrowhead spots. Good head markings, spotty tummy with ringed tail with dark tip. A gorgeous baby with a lovely temperament.
3 Rice’s CORVUS CELESTIAL (72b) F 24/05/08 Chocolate self kitten of very good weight and litter sister to 2nd in previous class and similar remarks apply. Her body is of elegant proportions with slender limbs, neat oval paws and a good tail for shape and length. She has slight flattening to her top of head with she has good width between her medium sized ears which are wide at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt. I felt she needed more depth to her head but her profile shows a gently rounded brow and an acceptable nose break, medium length nose that just rolls off at the tip. She has a shallow chin that lies back a little. Medium broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle but is just a little pinched at the jaw hinge today. Beautiful rich golden yellow colour to her to her eyes, that have the top line slanting towards her nose with the bottom lid fuller and more rounded, they are set wide apart to give the typical Asian expression. Her coat is short lying glossy and closes lying and is a rich warm chestnut brown and almost coloured to the roots.

1 Kilburn SPINNING HARTLEY (83w) MN 12/12/06 I really liked this lad and although alone in this class he well deserved his 1st! He has good length to his body with medium boned legs with oval paws and a medium tapering tail that balances. His head that is proportionate to his body with a broad wedge with rounded contours and high cheek bones. His ears are large and broad at the base with rounded tips. Deep blue walnut shaped eyes are medium is size. He has a firm chin and level bite. Most beautiful pale coat with deep seal clearly defined markings.

1 Moores ANOHKI BOY GEORGE (27c) M 06/03/07At 19 months this lilac boy looks quite teenagerish but is of lovely type. He has a lithe elegant body with a straight back with rounded chest, sturdy elegant legs and neat oval paws. His tail is a fraction thick but narrows to a rounded tip and balances. He has a gently rounded top of head with very good width between his ears that are of the desired shape and set, with the base wide, rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt their outer edges following the line of his wedge. He has a short broad wedge with a blunt muzzle, with the first signs of jowls just appearing. In profile he has a good deep head with a rounded brow and distinct nose break, the tip of his nose is a straight line to his chin, which is of could deeper, level bite. He has lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes that are correctly shaped with the top line slanting towards his nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid I feel for perfection they could be a fraction larger. Beautiful soft dove grey coat with the desired pinky hue is short glossy and close lying. A promising lad shown in excellent condition and that was a pleasure to judge.
2 Pallisters PENWYNKATZ CRÈME DELIGHT (27f) M 15/10/06Nice cream boy feeling firm and muscular of very good weight for size. He has a straight back rounded chest sturdy legs and neat oval paws. Good shape and length to his tail that balances his body but has a distinct kink at the end. Gently rounded top to his head with good width between his medium sized ears that are of good shape and set well apart with slight forward tilt, the outer edges following the outline of his face. Short wide jowly wedge narrows to a blunt muzzle with a level bite. Large lustrous yellow chartreuse of the desired shape with the top line slanting towards his nose and a fuller more rounded lower line and are set well apart giving him a typical Burmese expression. In profile he has reasonable depth to his head with a gently rounded brow but would benefit from a more defined break to his slightly long nose. His coat is a short, glossy and close lying and a slightly hot cream. A happy lad who was a pleasure to judge.
3 Robinsons CH ROSSIKHAN VELVETMISS (27a) F 05/04/07Lithe elegant body to this blue girl with slender elegant limbs and neat oval paws. She has slight flattening to her top of head with good width between her well shaped ears that are broad at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt. She has a gently rounded brow with an acceptable nosebreak; her chin is shallow and just lays back a fraction. She has a short brad wedge with a blunt muzzle but was just looking a little pinched at the jaw hinge today. Her eyes are pale green chartreuse and have the top line slanting towards her nose with a fuller more rounded lower lid and are set wide apart but could just be a bit larger. Her coat is short lying of a darker blue with little silvering.

1 Johnsons LOHR MANILALDA (27b) F 06/06/08 A typical Burmese baby with feeling heavy, firm and muscular with a rounded chest and straight back, she has elegant limbs and neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. She has a gently rounded dome with very good width between her small ears that are broad at the base with rounded tips, their outer edge following the outline of her wedge and set with a slight forward tilt. She has a short broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle with a level bite. She has good depth to her head, rounded brow and distinct nosebreak, straight nose and firm level chin. Large lustrous khaki coloured eyes, where the colour is still developing, have the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower line, set wide apart showing that slightly surprised kitten expression. Most beautiful pale milk chocolate coat still shows slight kitten fluffiness. A very promising kitten shown in wonderful condition with a delightful temperament.
2 Riddles CATAMARIAN BACCARAT (27) F 02/04/08 Mature looking brown kitten with an elegant muscular body of very good weight with a straight back and rounded chest. Her limbs are in proportionate to her body and have neat spoon shaped paws. Nicely shaped tail of medium thickness with a paintbrush tip. Beautifully proportioned head with gently rounded top and excellent width between her medium sized ears that are wide at the base, gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the outline of her face. She has a short wide wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, with a level bite. In profile she has very good depth to her head, rounded brow, distinct nosebreak with a short straight nose with a tiny bump, straight level chin is level. Large lustrous yellow eyes show a green inner rim at the moment but are of the correct shape and set with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid and set wide apart. Her coat is glossy short and close lying and of a warm seal brown. A promising baby, shown in lovely condition with a sweet temperament.
3 Garlick’s SIGISMUND ONCEINABLUE MOON (27a) M 05/06/08Well grown kitten with a weighty firm body, he has a gently rounded chest, straight back and elegant proportionate limbs with neat oval paws. His tail is of desired shape and thickness and balances his body. Short broad wedge tapers to a blunt muzzle, gentle rounding to top of head but with good width between his medium well shaped ears, which are wide at the base with rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt. His eyes are greeny yellow chartreuse with an inner green rim and of the desired shape with the top line sloping towards his nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid and are set wide apart. In profile he has good depth to his head with a rounded brow with an acceptable nose break, his chin is firm but just lays back a fraction, and his bite is level. His coat is short glossy and close lying and of a pleasing mid blue with the desired silvering. A promising lad with a lovely temperament and shown in excellent condition.

1 Robinson’s ROSSIKHAN STATUS SYMBOL (27c) MN 03/11/07I was very impressed by the look and feel of this lilac boy. He is just an adult but looks very mature with a strong weighty body with rounded chest and straight back, proportionate elegant limbs with neat oval paws. His tail is of good shape and thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip and reaches his shoulder when brought round to his shoulder. He has a gently rounded top of head with good width between well set medium sized ears of good shape with rounded tip and showing a slight forward tilt their outer edges clearly following the line of his wedge. Balanced profile with distinct nosebreak, straight nose, firm level chin, level bite and good depth to his head. Short wide wedge narrowing to blunt muzzle. Large lustrous yellow eyes with the top line slanting towards the nose and a more rounded bottom set well apart giving him the typical Burmese expression He has a super close lying coat of a soft dove grey showing a pinky hue, glossy and in excellent condition. A lovely example of a Burmese!

His tail is of good shape and thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. He has a gently rounded top of head with good width between well set medium sized ears of good shape with rounded tip and showing a slight forward tilt their outer edges clearly following the line of his wedge. He has a lovely profile with distinct nosebreak, straight nose, firm level chin, level bite and good depth to his head. Short wide wedge narrowing to blunt muzzle but just looking a little pinched at the jaw hinge today. Large lustrous yellow eyes with the top line slanting towards the nose and a more rounded bottom set well apart giving him the typical Burmese expression He has a super close lying coat of a soft dove grey showing a pinky hue, glossy and in excellent condition. A lovely boy who was just not very happy today.

Strong well muscled body has a rounded chest and straight back, his tail is of medium width and tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. He has strong elegant limbs with neat spoon shaped paws. Gentle rounding to top of head with excellent width between his well shaped and set ears, they are of medium size, wide at the base have rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt. His short broad wedge narrows to a blunt muzzle and he has a level bite. Large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes have a gentle curve to the top line that slopes towards his nose and a fuller lower line and are set well apart giving the typical Burmese expression. In profile he has a gently rounded brow, distinct nosebreak to his medium length straight nose, strong chin. Most beautiful clear rich tangerine coat is short and close lying. A super boy with a gentle disposition.
X3 Hardy’s UK GR CH & GR PR MACHIKS CRÈME ANGLAISE (27f) FN 03/10/98 Very pretty older girl who was showing a little middle aged spread. Firm muscular body with straight back and rounded chest. Slender elegant legs with neat spoon shaped paws. Nicely shaped tail that tapers to a rounded tip and just balances. Slightly flat top of head with good width between her well spaced ears that are of good shape with rounded top and set with a slight forward tilt. Short wide wedge with a blunt muzzle good width at jaw hinge and a very untidy bite. In profile she has a good break, straight nose and good depth to head with a strong level chin. Large lustrous greeny yellow eyes are of good shape and set with the top line slanting towards her nose and nicely rounded fuller bottom line and are set well apart giving her the correct Burmese expression. Pale cream coat showing powdering in lovely bloom with a healthy sheen.

1 Halligans CH BRAMBLEWOOD CASPAJACK M (76 30) 07/08/07 Brown spotted Bengal boy of 14 months who looks very mature for his age. He has a weighty elegant long body with very good muscle tone, strong legs and large rounded paws. His tail is of medium length and thick with a rounded tip. Beautiful Bengal head has broad medium length wedge with high cheekbones and curved contours. There is gentle rounding from the forehead to the bridge of the nose and he has a broad slightly rounded muzzle with a firm chin and pronounced whisker pads. His ears are small on a wide base with rounded tips. His eyes are oval, large ands set on a slight slant. His coat is short soft dense and with large spots, rings on his legs and tail. He has good head markings and a spotty tummy. A relaxed boy who enjoyed our attention.
2 Higgins & Kennedy’s CH STARRSAILOR RA HARRAKHET (78 30s) 14/02/07 MThis silver Egyptian Mau boy looks mature with an elegant strong muscular body with proportionate limbs and small rounded paws. His head has a gently rounded moderate wedge, in profile there is a slight rise from forehead with a gentle dip, firm chin and level bite. Medium sized ears of good shape and are well set with good width between them. His eyes are clear green, large and of correct almond shape and set at an angle to his level brow and he has that typical ‘worried look’ Beautiful texture to soft silver coat with clear charcoal markings. A friend boy with a super temperament who enjoyed his cuddle.
3 Greenfields KARCASAM RAPHAEL (77) 06/11/07 MA young boy who is just an adult with a very good body for shape, size and condition, he has well muscled elegant legs with small oval feet, and a well balanced tail. His head shows a rounded skull with good width at the outer eye and narrowing to a short broad muzzle with definite whisker break. His profile shows a slight stop to his straight nose with a strong well developed chin. His ears are wide at the base, deep cupped and correctly set with good width between and the outer line just wide of parallel. Lovely large luminous eyes of a rich hazel yellow are of very good shape, held well open and set wide apart and at slight slant, Good depth to head with gently rounded brow, slight stop and short nose with leather falling away slightly at tip and level chin of reasonably good depth. His coat is fine close lying and of medium length and has a smooth silky texture, in superb condition, showing clear ticking of a warm rich sepia brown over a warm ivory ground. He has smudges on his knees and a few narrow inner bars on forelegs, well broken yellow toned necklace, rich warm salmon backs to ears, “M” and scarab on forehead, attractive mascara effect to eyes surrounded by light spectacles, well defined “Cheetah” marks on face. A lovely boy!

Slight flattening top of head with good width between well set ears that have a broad base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, the outer line following the line of her wedge. Good profile with distinct nose break and straight nose, strong chin and good depth to head. Short wide wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, level bite. Large lustrous yellow eyes are of good shape and set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a more fuller rounded bottom and set well apart giving that give that typical Burmese look. Ears are well shaped with slightly rounded tip and set with a slight forward tilt. Coat is glossy, close fitting and a pale dove grey with pinky overtones. Shown in excellent condition

AC Visitors Longhair KittenIt was a tough job to decide between these two beautifully presented babies but on the day Patches was not in the best of moods.
1 Steels HARVEY MBeautiful black and white kitten with a glossy well groomed coat, he has white bib, four white socks and a little white patch on his yummy. He has lovely ear furnishings, the beginnings of a ruff and a beautifully plumed tail. Large lustrous orange eyes and a very loud purr! A beautiful boy shown in sparkling condition.
2 Davidsons PATCHES MAnother lovely boy of a beautiful mid blue and white. He has a lovely face with a white mask and large lustrous greeny yellow eyes. Another beautiful well groomed coat with a lovely plume. He was a just a little unhappy out on the table and preferred the comfort of his pen.
